Life is very strange. This past Saturday evening a bunch of us went on a Ghost Tour of old Ellicott City, which is rich in history and ghosts. It was very interesting and a lot of history, for example, it was pointed out were John Booth, the man who shot President Lincoln, made is acting debut, the B&O Railroad, and part of the civil war was fought right here in Ellicott City, the old mill town, along with the Mary, who haunts the famous Judges Bench, which is a local bar and hang out , the haunted court house, firehouse, and several homes. It was really a lot of fun and we had a great tour guide. So, on Sunday, I was downstairs cleaning Misty's couch pad and getting ready to put it in the wash, I heard a crash and the cats running down the hall , I yelled up, stop it, I came upstairs to make sure everything was intact and it was, the bedrooms, the study, the kitchen and bathrooms. So, I continued with the day, walked Misty, dinner, etc. Around 7 that evening, I walked into my dining room to close the curtains and I found my huge heavy picture that hangs over my fireplace in my living room on the floor along with Toby's pictures, his collar, one of my trophy, two small vases, nothing was broken. I noticed that on my mantal, that Toby's ure was not moved but, I have six small kitty statues that I bought to support cancer research in cats and dogs, and each month I received a kitty, so they are around Toby's ure, well, they were pushed to the side. At first I thought the wire broke on the picture, nooo, it was intact, I just stood there staring, I couldn't move. Another strange thing, I have a pocket door between my kitchen and dining room which I keep closed to keep the cats out of my rooms, well, the door was open and none of the cats came near the dining room, which is unusual, normally they would be in the rooms getting into trouble. Since Sunday, they don't even come near the pocket door even when I have the door open. Did I take someone home with me on Saturday, and if I did how do you get a ghost out of your house into your car to take it back home to Ellicott City? Thomas, D2P, came over and took some pictures on Monday night, have to wait and see if anything shows up on the pictures, so far all is calm.

Hopefully no one decided to come home with you. Depending on what happens in the future and what your pictures show, you may place some dried sage around the room. Let us know what "shows" in the pics.

O.K., another small incident happened last night, and it could be nothing, but, here is what happened. I wasn't feeling good last night so I just decided to rest, so I was watching my new DVD, Jenny Lynn, The Harder I Work, The Luckier I Get, she is a two-time winner of the Figure Olympia, a fitness girl. So, the dvd ended and I didn't touch anything and the clock on the VCR, was showing all zeros, the time was gone. I thought that's odd, so, as I was walking up the steps I heard a noise coming from the VCR, the time was moving and it stopped at 20:27, I thought well, this is crazy, why is it military time and as of this writing its still 20:27, very strange, is it the ghost or just a VCR clock thing? I don't even know how to fix the time on the VCR. Very strange.

Oh my Patricia. You might need a ghost hunter to come to your home and check things out.

I guess they were just passing though, or it was Toby, telling the kitties to cool it. Good job, my sweet Angel boy. emo-heartbeat.gif

This is a cute thread. I have enjoyed it although I know its probably got you on edge. With the clock being changed to military time, sounds like a soldier followed you home, decided your pets came first & decided to move on.
Did I tell you the first time I ever heard about orbs? My cousin's wife is an architect for the city of Nashville, Tn. She took her photographer with her to one of the old state buildings to take pictures & measurements. She said this building had no electricity, but even in July was extremely cool inside. But only in spots. The photographer got the picture developed & was extremely disturbed. He brought them to Autumn's office & said whenever you go to this building, either call me or don't go alone. Then he showed her the pictures. Orbs in all the pictures. She said this is a guy who keeps his camera equipment clean all the time. Keeps the lenses in packages & then in cases. When they went back to take more pictures with a different camera, same thing. So Autumn took a throw away camera, same thing. So she read the history on the building, lots of bad things happened there back in the old days.
I got chills while she was telling me about it.

And you know, sometimes I notice my cats hiss or growl at nothing...I sometimes wonder if I have a doggie spirit here. Which would be okay by me.

O.K. here we go again, yesterday I was putting out my Fall decorations and I needed to fill the bird feeders, so I got the new bag of bird feed and took it outside with the scissors. I remember putting my scissors on the kitchen table, because I needed to cut some tags off my new decorations. Well, I could not find them, I went back outside to see if they were by the bird feeders, I than went downstairs to the basement thinking I took them down to cut the tags off there, no scissors, so after 10 minutes of searching I said, o.k. you win I give up, I'm going outside to look at my flowers, when I come back I want my scissors back. So, I came in and low and behold, they were in their place, on my cutting board in the wooden knife set, the set has a slot for my scissors. Now I know I'm sick with a cold, but, I have not lost my mind, how on earth can I misplace my large scissors and I would remember that I put them back in their place. Well, at least its a playful ghost. Good thing they were large scissors or my little Athena would have been blame. She likes to take objects, like small screws, blots and hide them. emo-th_Laie_67.gif Pipi5. wow, how interesting, thanks for sharing that story.

Okay that is too spooky.
After I read your thread...I've been thinking about stuff like this. The other nite, I'm asleep. Gabby has been waking me up about 3am so I've been going to bed early trying to catch up on the 30 minutes sleep I'll lose with Gabbers.
I'm not sure what time it was, but I woke up to the sound of the cabinet in the kitchen shutting. I just laid there in the dark. Then I heard this tapping on the floor. I'm thinking, someone is dreaming & their toenails are tapping the floor.
I slowly sat up & put my glasses on. I charge my cell phone at night in the bedside table drawer, so I reached around & got my phone because while on charge it makes a great night light. I shown it around the room...Jack & Gabby are asleep on my bed. Banker is on the dog bed next to my bed & Pipi is in Gabby's crate, none of them have toenails on the floor.
I whispered, I kid you not, Patricia's ghost...go back home. My back porch light came on. My outside lights are on motion detectors. So I got up to see who was at the back door...no one.
But...it hasn't happened since. So I guess it was the ghost going home.

Love the ghost stories and I think I have been getting visitors also.

While sewing the other day - my tension on my sewing machine was set to 0, I have never had it on 0, the pressure foot to hold the fabric was moved to the up position. November 1, was David's birthday and I was at a craft show bought some pumpkin tarts to give to those people he knew, the next day when I took EZ to the Neuro Vet when i got back to the car there was a birthday card sitting next to it. Was not there when i went in to the vet. An alarm was going off in the house when Adam my grandson went to check it out he found the alarm on the clock going off but it was in the off position. Went to mash potatoes with my portable mixer could not find the beaters but after dinner after I had mashed them by hand the beaters were right where I knew they should be. Also I was looking for some cultured pearls and were not where I thought they should be when I went back to the same place a few days later thats where they were.. Quite a few noises in the house and Penske will look up and actually is staring into space or the dogs will get up and start running around the house looking for something.
