What A Crazy Two Weeks, Plus I Saved A Life.

The past two weeks have been just crazy. It started off if one of my kitties that were living in my back yard was hit by a car, he was fine, just a little stunned, so the next day was I able to take him him up to the cat rescue. Lets see, he was hit on Wednesday evening and I took him up on Thursday morning, Friday morning I was out walking Misty at 5 a.m. and we witnessed his other brother, being hit by a van while running across the street, so I got Misty in the house and with my flashlight I was looking under all the brushes for a black kitten, finally at 7 in the morning I found the little fellow lying in my igloo, so I took him up to the E-Vet Hospital, turns out he had a broken hip bone and his pelvis was shifted, so M2P has him, that evening I volunteered at the rescue and when I got home, his brother followed me into my house, so, he went up on Saturday morning to join his brother. On Saturday evening I was able to catch their sister in the trap, she went up on Sunday to the rescue. In the meantime I was trying to catch mom. Last Sunday, my older brother phoned me and told me that his girlfriend, Carol wanted to adopt a kitten, so we went to the rescue and she adopted a Maine Coon Mix, a female, so sweet. I left my brother's house and driving home though the neighborhood, I noticed a person lying near the street, at first I thought, thats odd, having a blow-up Halloween decoration by the street and as I get closer I thought, Halloween decorations don't have white hair, it was a woman in her 70s lying near the edge of her lawn very confused, I started to ask her some questions, to get a medical history, such as any medical problems, did you eat today, are you having any chest pains, can you squesh my hands, are you dizzy, mean while a neighbor came by, I told her I was going to call 911, as soon as I pulled out my cell phone the woman, Mrs. Jones, went into cardiac arrest, so lucky for me the neighbor knew C.P.R. so we went to work, after about 5-7 minutes she came around and a few minutes later the medic crew showed up and off to the hospital she went. After I got home, my neighbor came over and asked me if I caught the kittens, and I told her yes, she say well, there is a gray one and a yellow one, so, off I went, I caught the kittens and in my bathroom they went, so M2P, phoned me and she told me to bring them over and she will froster them until we have room at the rescue, in the meantime I set the trap up and yes, mom cat went in!! On Monday, she went up to my vet to get sprayed, she is very sweet, has a URI and an eye infection which I'm treating her in my bathroom, she is doing fine. Meantime, her son with the broken hip had surgery and is doing pretty good, he is with M2P. We are full with kittens and cats at the rescue, we have like 65 all together. Moira who owns and runs the place is always on the phone with people finding cats and wanting to bring them in. Last Saturday we adopted out 11, not bad for 5 hours of work. This Thursday I will be helping out our vet there in spraying and neutering, I'm very excited about that. As you can see its been just crazy, now maybe life will get back to normal.
