That the kids have no school today. They are always off it seems. No wonder they don't learn anything.

I know what you mean Liz. Even back when my kids were in School they had bullies and I really blew my cool when one of the stole my oldest girls hand make crocheted shawl put it in the toilet and did you know what on it. The school had it laundered and gave it back to us and I very nicely told them to keep it I do not want it and why don't they punish the ones that did it. Their story was they didn't know who did it. Right my daughter told them who took it.

At least Summer School is short. I took a few and they were like 4-6wks long.
it'll be ok.. i just really wanted to have the summer off.. because i'm going back for a business degree after this one....

well here's the thing.. i've been thinking....
if i go to summer school i might as well take two classes...
sooooo...... if i take 7 hours in summer school then i can get an associates in business in 2 semesters (one fall and one spring) sooo woooohoo it'll all be greyt!!

That's great Hannah! I'm glad you could turn something that bites into something positive. When you finish summer school, you'll be happy as hell that you did this.

The price of gas
My theory is that I don't have to like the price of gas but I also don't need to get angry over it. Nothing I can do if I want to drive but pay the piper. You're probably all too young to remember the gas lines of the 70s. Hours waiting on a line to purchase gas. Now that sucked.
I agree with inquisitive snoop. What are we going to do, not much. We still need to get gas and drive our cars, so we'll have to shell out the money. Ours is up to 2.95 for reg a gallon.
In Queens County, NY I'm paying $3.09 now. It went up .13 a gallon for regular in a matter of 5 days.
I remember managing a gas station in the 70's during the gas crunch. It was just as bad working at one, as it was waiting in line to get gas. Luckily, I don't have to drive that far if I need to. I can walk to a lot of places. Still not happy about paying that much for gas while we sit on reserves and the oil companys are making record profits.
Oil companies making huge profits and we are shelling out big buck for gasoline when the government is sitting on a large surplus of oil
How much do you think gas really costs before states etc tax it to death.
Probably under $1.00 look at the price of it in other states that don't have the taxes we have and some countried that produce oil

Canned political messages that come in around dinner time or anytime. I do not need them to tell me who to vote for. I am so disgusted with then as soon as I realize what they are it is bye bye and I hang up. In fact I hand up on all canned messages and raise cain with others as I am on the PA do not call list.
I can't stand when we get those phone calls at dinner time.
Ordering something, paying for it and never getting it. They give you all kinds of excuses. At least if you order off of e-bay and you don't get it in a reasonable time and paid via pay pal e-bay will get your money back and put a negative mark against the seller
I've been stiffed a few times on ebay, and there are open issues with PayPal, but after all the buying I've done, Ebay has been a pretty good experience. The money I was stiffed was pocket change so it didn't hurt at all. I was more interested in getting the items. But oh well!
Not getting what they say it is but send you something all together different.

When I was working for a Physicist I used to get these calls all the time and I busted one group that said they were for retired Detectives - a female and male called with the same request - did not know each other and would not give me any information. I let them call two or three times each and then lowered the boom. that I knew what was going on. Found out from a few policemen and firemen that these people who call for money for them (circus or whatever) they get very little of the money generated. Now when I get those kind of calls I always say I donated to my local fire department or police department and that usually gets rid of them.
That's what we do here. We donate directly to the fire dept. (And some other groups)

When the police or fire so call sales people call around the holidays for a donation and you can't get them off the phone without being rude.
I get calls from people alleging that they are collecting for local police and the media states that the local police do not do telephone solicitations. Got ya.
How about people who call and start off with "Hello (first name)" - I usually go off on them - 'Who the hell do you think you are calling me by my firt name when I don't know you from sh*t"

Am I suppose to feel sad and bad for the striking writers, NOT!! I'm so sorry that they can't live on 300,000 dollars plus a year. I feel so sorry for them, walking the picket line, some in Oscar de la Renta sport coats, talking to their agents on their $600 iPhones. Driving their Land Rovers and Mercedes, living in their mansions, and luxury condos. PLEASE!! Let them strike, who cares, maybe one day we will have some decent shows on t.v.
I totally agree but when they strike it's the other staff that work on the various programs involved, make-up, hair stylists, lighting, etc. who don't make $300,000, who are the ones who suffer. The writers can go up in flames for all I care but by striking they are hurting many more who possibly can't afford to be out of work.

If you notice if there is one reality show there are a dozen down the line, one cop show there are a dozen or so just like it so why don't they use their heads and come up with something new. I am tired of the same type of shows over and over again
I don't watch regular tv. It's blah... Your right it's mostly dumb or all the same.
Same old same old shows. I would rather watch animal planet such as Mercat Manor, etc or Discovery and Little People Big World those type of shows..

yuck glad I don't have to put up with that even tho we have a zillion feral cats running around here that torment my furkids. They will stand at the fence or even on the porch to torment

dude came to my door today... we have no soliciting in our complex but people ignore the signs.. anyhoo, he hands me a pamplet (i will be nice for 5 secs. and then say i'm not interested) well, i tried to hand him back the pamplet and he said no just read it.. i said we have no soliciting here.. and i tried to hand him back his nice lil' pamplet one more time, he again said "read it" i asked him if he had anymore copies, he said, no just that one ... so i said " well, you can take it this next time i try to give it back to you or i can close the door in your face and keep it.. which one?" he said "i'll take it!"
then i called the office and complained, they said they would get them out of here.. of course i just had to watch so i grabbed Al's leash and took him for a walk and i saw him get kicked off the property

Last night Fireman's local #1 called before he could go into his little speech I very nicely told him I give to my local firefighters good bye. Our firefighters are paid by the city but he don.t know that and I do give to the loca firefighters any time they have a craft show, etc. we get two or more tables plus donate to their Chinese Auctions..
