I know I'm gonna kick myself in the butt for not keeping Bella, but I know she's going to go into a great home. But she has a face that'll melt your heart, with a personality to match.

would love to come to GIG but vet is talking about amputation of a toe that had the infected nail bed. Wants to do a biospy and then amputation - I do not think if this happens that she should have two surgeries but had both done at the same time.

Getting Softee's toe fixed and Jams' sutures out. Will take Softee in to the vet tomorrow when we take Jams in for suture removal

Thanks Jimmy - will be talking to the senior vet and see what he has to say. Talked to Jan today who is an animal lover and has both dogs and horses. Told me not to have Softee go through two surgeries but do both at the same time and to use betadine to cleaning any wounds not peroxide

I carry the betadine in my greyhound first aid kit. It's a lot better than the peroxide for them.

If we got a tax return

I have betadine here also but the one vet said to clean with peroxide. An emergency vet did not believe in betadine the way I feel if it is good enough for us then I can use it on my greys.

I had done some research on what to use as a cleaner on greyhound wounds, and I can't remember why, but it said the betadine was much better, I think because it will clean the wound, and also help with the healing.

I can't remember why they said not to use peroxide.

She had got her bandage wet and very dirty we used the peroxide to mostly clean the foot for the dirt. Poured betadine on it today. We have it bandaged with anitbiotic on a telfa pad, guaze, wrap tape, vet wrap and more tape. Have a kids sock on it and then when she goes out a newspaper sleeve - a clear one this time not the red one I showed earlier

A good outcome tomorrow at the vets would make me happy.
