Bear has been doing this reverse sneeze. Is it because the allergies are bad and we have had no rain for months?

The "reverse sneeze" is a sinus drainage problem... usually allergies. It doesn't have to be associated with specific rain/no rain. It's just whatever happens to trigger it in your dog. I had a Samoyed that 'bout died when we'd walk at a particular lake - she was fine everywhere else in town. It's an individual intolerance.
If it's bad enough to need treatment, the drug of choice is an antihistamine like Benadryl (diphenhydramine) or chlorpheniramine. Have you tried either? If it's just an occasional event, it's probably better to live with it than to medicate and have the sleepy side-effects.

Thanks Carol. He doesn't do it all the time but he just started doing this a couple times the past 3 days.
Can he be allergic to our cats or cat fur?

Misty has been sneezing a lot lately, I think its the grass and the high pollen count.

Yes... cats... wool... feathers... humans... just about anything with some protein in it.
It's very difficult to know for sure, but sometimes you can sort it out. I had a cat once that was totally intolerant of peacock feathers (a great cat toy). That was pretty easy to figure out, LOL.
