Full Version: Update on my former foster Nathan
kashei98
I am heartbroken to report that Nathan took a turn for the worst late Sat. night and passed to the Bridge in his Mom's arms Monday evening. The poor guy was just getting ready to begin Dr. Couto's chemo protocol and then this. He went downhil very, very quickly and the vets all agree that the lymphoma obviously had infiltrated the lungs in the last few days. They had given him a month without treatment but he is gone in less than two weeks from diagnosis. He would have been 4 yrs old in Nov. Way to young to be leaving this world after only 8 blissfull months in his loving forever home. I am thankful that he did have that time however to experience the love and joy he so deserved. When I started fostering I guess I never thought about losing a foster or how hard it would hit me....I know now. The family is truly devastated, it all happened so fast I think they are still in shock. Run free sweet Nathan and rest on the softest of Angel's wings.

I am so sorry. We lost our precious three year old Craiger last week to lymphoma. The painful part was losing such a young dog and such a special dog. But please take solice in the fact that Nathan knew great love and was not alone when he crossed the bridge. Run free sweet Nathan and look for Craiger to show you around.
