I was going to wait until Sunday to post but let's party all weekend because....
SUNDAY IS AL'S GOTCHA DAY!!!!!!!!
I can't put into words what Al has done to my life! The kicks in the head at night, the deadly farts, making me worry when i think something is wrong with him, getting up at 3 AM with him because he has the big D... hmm... wait, none of that seems so appealing...
seriously, Al has been there with me through all the tough times this past year and i just don't know what i would do without him, when i'm down and out and don't want to do anything for the day he makes me get up! why? cuz he has to go to the bathroom!
but then that gets me up and out of the apartment for the day and brightens my day...Al and i were there for each other the first time Tom left, and then the final time, Al and i both had a tough time with that, but between the two of us we made it!When i go out at night to a friends house, Al goes with me, when i go home for a day or two Al is right by my side... sometimes i now think that my family and friends would rather see him than ME!!?!!
Al and i were made for each other, he's such a lil' goober sometimes, he's odd, he's strange, he's just like me! we are a perfect pair!!I've had two fosters the past year (Brad and Poagie) and i have done several events and Meet and Greets and i just love spreading the word about the hounds! and i've already made it to the Hall of Fame (no race yet, but i'm working on it) i love the hounds!
Al is the best thing that has happened to me in a looooong time!!
here's a pic of me with Al when i adopted him! He was the first one they brought out, they opened up his door and i was with Ginger, Tom, and there were several other volunteers around but he came straight to me?!! they put a leash on him and i took him for a walk, i got halfway out the parking lot, turned around went back and said "Yup, i want him!"
(that was also what i posted on another message board) now for the special part just for the EG'ers! I am so glad i found this board! I found it through D2P on the PRH message board, i was a member for awhile but never posted, Chris told me to come on here and read something in the debate area and i did, and that's when i finally started to post, and i am SOOOO glad that i did! you guys rock!!!!
