Full Version: Megaesophagas?
xracers
Megaesophagas, I think that's how it's spelled- anyone have a greyhound with this problem? I'm looking for more info and hopefully someone that has experienced this with their dog. 2 groups down here have dogs for adoption that have it.

I don't but my nieces girlfriend has a black lab who has it. She just moved to Kansas City, Ms and was looking for a vet out there. Her lab has been thru hell and back. She bought a food processor to grind up the dry kibble and mixes it with other stuff to make like soft meatballs. She now uses raised food dishes. If you want I can ask her what diet she is feeding her pup. Let me know.

Both groups are feeding a really moist gruel in a raised feeder. One groups vet has the dog on some kind of medicine, too. Both girls just vomited a little bit and ate it right back up when they were in the race kennels. It wasn't a everyday thing. Both girls had immediate problems after their spay. Now it's everyday. It seems like the spay really made the condition blow up. I'm wondering if this is something that we should add to the checklist when we ask the kennels for background on the dogs.

As I was searching the net for info for my niece I found this support website: Please pass this along. Hopefully this will help everyone involved.
