Sorry I did not find that sooner we just had not opened up that Sunday paper we bought on our way home. We always buy a paper from where we have been for my neighbor who has MD

Good article, and interesting that attendance was down 40%. I wonder if that'll pick up again next year, since this year was so nice.

I noticed that there were not as many people around and our Motel had it Vacancy sign out later than normal

I heard that that 40% number was registered attendees. Some people are wondering if fewer people registered because of the vendor tent situation, and that some wouldn't see a benefit to registering. Apparently folks are allowed into the events (seminars and such) even if they didn't register, and there were a lot of unregistered attendees.
I wouldn't know ... I'm always working during the seminars and such. ;)

We bumped into a few people who couldn't find the place to register. We told them, so I assume they found it.
A friend of mine at work was in Lewes and she said there were lots of greyhounds there at the hotel. She loved it.

I heard a lot fo people complaining about the vendors scattered all over and were talking about not coming back. I enjoyed myself even if they were scattered and everyone I found I had a greyt time with them

I didn't care that the vendors where all about. It was fun to find them. I didn't buy anything but dog cookies at Triple S Treats.

I thought the vendors being scattered made it more fun. It was great to get out in the sunshine and walk the dogs around town going to the vendors. The vendors all seemed happy they vended out of their rooms to, at least all the ones I talked to.
I can't wait to go back next year!!!

If you checked out the vendors listing and you knew what you wanted you could find them. the tents it got that you could not take you pups in and I do not trust anyone I do not know personally to watch my pups and sometimes they have them out in the blazing sun. that is not for me. I found almost everyone I looked for except dogdaddy and i went to the hall at least 3 times looking for him

I really enjoyed vending out of a room, and know that I'm weather-proof and could keep the room cool with the AC. I had numerous greyhound visitors who flopped out on the carpet and enjoyed their rest while the people chatted or shopped, which was delightful! MUCH more comfortable than vending out of any tent and being at the whim of the weather.

I enjoyed this type of vending better than the tent. You could not take your pups with you and when you did get into the tent it was too crowded or you could not get over to the vendor that you wanted to see and how many times I had my feet stepped on. This way you could stop and look at everything without being pushed around and of course talk greyhound

Terri and I don't like leaving our pups with just anyone either. I wouldn't have been happy doing that if the tents were set up. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't have shopped unless someone I knew was holding them.
I really enjoyed the way things were this year!

We loved the vendors in the rooms and the firehall instead of the tents. The last couple of years the tents were so crowded it was hard to get you grey fitted with a collar or anything else.
Everyone we talked to really enjoyed the set up this year, it was so much nicer and more fun spending with the vendors and being able to really talk with them.
Looking forward to next year, really hope they don't go back to the tent situation where you had to explain to the security guards you were taking your dog in to be fitted with something. I'll take the rooms any day over that.

I really don't think there's any chance they'll go back to tents. Most vendors are MUCH happier this way, and if they're not, they're looking for better sales locations so that it works for them. For instance, the folks on the upper floors of the Best Western had very disappointing traffic, and hopefully can find more accessible locations for next year.

Interesting. I think it will also be a big event, plus, I like the idea of vending out of your room, there is more space compare to the tents, looking forward to next year.

It was greyt seeing the vendors you did not get crushed as you did in the tent and it was so crowded when you managed to get inside and at least you could take your dogs with you this year..
