Handsome actor Ewan McGregor is reportedly an avid fan of underwear which helps to "lift and promote" a man's package.

The Scottish star has allegedly placed an order so big from AussieBum for their 'Wonderjocks' they had to run a check on his finacial status.

Sean Asby, who is the founder of AussieBum, said; "We found out that Ewan McGregor was buying them only because he made such a huge order and we had to do a credit check.

Meanwhile, Ewan confessed he finds being alone to be "comforting".

Ewan admitted he enjoyed filming his reality series 'Long Way Round' back in 2004 because he got to ride his motorcycle through the worlds most remote places.

He revealed to Britain's Esquire magazine; "When I arrived back in America I found myself hankering for Siberia, where there was nothing. There's something comforting about being far away from everything and everyone you know."

The star, who is planning to hit the road again with his friend Charlie Boorman for another run of the series, also insists his wife Eve doesn't mind him being away from home for several months.

He said; "Being away from my family is hard but it's part of being an actor anyway.

My wife is very supportive. I've been married for 11 years and she's rarely been on the back of the bike but she's coming along for some of the next trip."
