Republican party. I use to be a Democrat years back but they screwed our country so bad, I switched. Just look at the Dems now.

I'm a democrat. I would like to vote for an independent but they've not really put forth any viable candidates. Once upon a time I was a republican, there is no way I could vote that way now. I'm a political junkie and have never been so heartsick as I have been the last 6 years. I wasn't pleased with a lot of what Clinton did, but he was infinitely preferable to what we have now.
This gov't doesn't seem to be bothered at all by trouncing personal rights, all with some high and mighty excuse, 9/11, terrorists, blah blah. Why did the republicans step in on the Terry Schiavo case? Their determination to roll back abortion. illegal wiretaps. I mean, c'mon, all they had to do was go to the FISA court and get a warrant (and they were rarely ever refused). They said getting a warrent could warn the intended target, Load of crap since they had three days after the wiretap to apply for the warrant. How stupid do these jackasses think we are anyway?
Iraq? Yep, let's go after the terrorists who blew up the WTC. Bin laden in Afghanistan, well, we didn't quite finish up there did we? Why didn't we go after the country that most of the money and actual terrorists came from. Saudi Arabia. Nope, they're our *friends*, not to mention their extremely close ties to the Bush family.
How about when Albert Gonzales and Andy Card showed up in Ashcroft's hospital room to try and get him to sign off on the warrantless surveillance program even though he was NOT acting Att'y gen. at the time, Comey was.
Let me see, Jack Abramhoff, Tom Delay (violating campaign finance laws) not to mention offering $100,000 to Rep. Smith (R-Mich) for his son's campaign if Smith would vote for Bush's medicare bill, Halliburtons no bid contract to provide services in iraq (under investigation). The list against Halliburton is too long for this post. Antonin Scalia refusing to recuse himself from the Cheney task force case even though federal law requires a justice to do so if his impartiality can reasonably be questioned. The hunting trip he had just gone on with Cheney certainly raises a reasonable doubt as to his impartiality.
I could go on and on, but I'm getting a headache thinking about it all.

Good points there. I know both parties are skum but at least the Republicans care about the american people and not pretend too. I always tell my friends that it seems like our govt politicans are in another world and we are in another world and when election time comes around, they appear and want our vote.
Democrats have only caused this country to be a laughing stock nation. When Clinton was in office, they called him BJ Clinton. He couldn't run this country and thank God for the Republican congress. If something went wrong, slick willie just bomb countries, he bomb an asprin factory as well.
Now we have a Democratic congress and hmm lets see what they want already.
Recall the tax cuts. This would be stupid if it passes. We have the lowest unemployment rate in decades, home sales are up and people are working and paying taxes.
End the war. The war should end, but letting the terrorists know our schedule of when we want to end it. Dumb..
Homeland Security- The Dems want everyone to come in.
Plus other tax bills, tax the rich(means the middle class will suffer).
The Dems just don't want the american people to have that american dream. They want us to be dependent on them. Govt mandated Health Care(but they can chose there own) etc...

Love my country but fear my government.!!!
Thank you Cheryl. Its nice to see that someone out there is paying attention!! But I'll take that one step further. Why aren't all these idiots in PRISON. Could it be that they fired ALL the attnorney generals. Gee, if I looted all that money from the common folks pensions and retirement funds, I'D be in prison. If I blabbed to the rest of the world about whose wife was with the CIA, do you think they would charge ME with treason? You bet they would. Do we really want to open up a discussion on the subjects of Cheney/Halliburton? At what point does our government (politicians) and their lobbyists quit behaving like the hookers and pimps that they are. When will the American public ACTUALLY wake up and start paying attention to whats going on in Washington instead of following like a bunch of lemmings into the sea. We certainly, as citizens of this country, dont seem to be screaming and squawking as loud as we should. I think I'll stop now before I get cranky with this topic. PEACE - OUT

I didn't vote in this poll since I don't affiliate myself with any of them. Most of the Republicans and Democrats are corporate mouthpieces. They represent business interests first and the little guy second. Republicans are worst but Democrats take their share of campaign funds from businesses also. If you like seeing the wage gap between the CEOs and the common man continue to spread, then continue to vote for Tweedle-Dee or Tweedle-Dum, as a notorious governor from Alabama once said.
