Shadow aka Shadow Do 12/26/1992 to 10/18/2005
Dear Shadow
It has been two years since you became a Bridge Angel and oh how we miss you. We were newbies when we first saw you and brought you into our home. We soon learned it was no longer ours but you claimed it as yours. Your siissy Niki (Collie Shep Mix) taught you how to run our lives and she did a grey job. You were a con artist and had your Dad carry you up and down the stairs for 3 days until you got busted by Ruth. That night Dad pulled and I pushed you did the stairs and we had no problem after that. Ricky who was 18 months old when we adopted you came the day after we brought you home and it was love at first sight for the two of you. You both would fall asleep on your blanket and you would put your front leg over him as if it was a mother cradling a child, he even walked you around Pet Smart alone at the age of two. Another thing Shadow and I hope you are remembering everything you loved doing Pet Therapy and even in parades which you loved to do if you saw someone that looked like they needed TLC you would walk out of line to tell them you care and the first time we went to Dewey even though you were on vacation it did not stop you from leading all your sisters to the young lady in a wheel chair and she made a remark at least I can pet you. You were vain also if you saw someone with a camera you would stop and pose and I wonder how pictures there are of you floating around. Another thing Shadow you were such a drama queen and not matter when you had a boo boo even months later you would hold one of your front paws up if someone asked you if you had a boo boo. The time you had you toe amputated for FibroSarcoma the tech told your Dad that you were walking okay when she took you out of the crate until you saw your bandage and then it was oh my I have a boo boo I have to hold this paw up.
No matter what Shadow you will always be in our hearts and we will always love you. Oh, did I tell you we miss you. We will meet again in the mean time have fun with your sissys that have joined you and of course Niki who was waiting for you. Please take care of Dart for me until I get up there to see you all.
Oh by now I guess you know we finally adopted a boy named Penske and he is Softee's nephew.

Oh Shadow you look just like our bridge girl Annie. I am sure Zeus and Annie are playing with you at the bridge.
