This is just a form of tax exempt hate to me, not a religion. The grieving people that were subjected to this are angels for not doing what I would do if they did this in my presence.
Do you think that this is religion? Doesn't responsibility come with freedom of speech?

There is something seriously wrong with these people. These aren't your God fearing, bible carrying church people. This is a cult. You know the phrase "What would Jesus do". Well, he wouldn't do this. To show you how sick they are, why were they smiling when they came out after the verdict was read? They think it's going to be overturned. But normal people wouldn't be smiling. These people are sick, and the guy that runs this church, I guarantee we're not done reading about him. He's the kind of person that ends up in prison.

The thing that really scares me and gets me the most upset is the TV clips where they show the little kids carrying these hateful signs- they're literally breeding hate and calling it a religion. The KKK isn't considered a religion- why are these people hiding behind a religion?

Try growing up in the city where this nut job's "church" is. He is a complete buffoon and his entire clergy is basically his family. Everyone in Topeka, KS is celebrating this ruling. Be advised, the Phelps family will appeal.

This kind of stuff just makes me burn!!
Freedom of speech... i can go on forever about this but i'm going to try to make it as short as possible.
When the college guy recently got tased alot of people would say "he was using freedom of speech" ... well i say, too bad we can't rewrite Freedom of speech to say "without being an asshole"
I am huge into animal rights, i don't use animal tested products and i don't eat alot of meat, only chicken here and there because of diet issues, and its not because i don't think we should i just think we need to treat the animals better...anyways, alot of animal activists will protest and i would love to join but i don't think they go about things the right way, yes they are using their freedom of speech but when you are rude, yell, and scream and make fools out of yourself, who the hell is going to listen to you? i sure wouldn't...

i could go on and on about the religion aspect of this.. i am a christian and very firm in my beliefs but i would NEVER think about acting like this... its not how God wants us to act...i won't touch too much on this because i could write a book and i've written enough..
but YES freedom of speech needs to be used responsibly

Does anybody out there think that this should be considered a religious and freedom of speech issue, and that they should have the right to do this?
I just like to hear both sides of everything.
