Hi! We are welcoming home our first grey this week. Snappy (aka CTW Snap Happy http://tinyurl.com/33d84a ) will be 3 on Jan 2. She's joining our family consisting of me, my hubby, 4 kids (ages 7, 5, 3, and 22mths), an ornery 9yr old cat, 7 rats, and our 11yr old sheltie. Intros went pretty well with the cat and dog, so we are good to go!

I've been lurking about and doing tons of research. I still have a multitude of questions to ask (and lots of shopping to do!), so I hope y'all will bear with me.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and their grey babies!

Welcome from Canada. 7 rats isn't that considered an infestation ... just kidding, my son wanted one for awhile, then a snake (that's a big NO!) and then a turtle. That sounds like quite the happy and busy home. Can't wait to see pictures of your menagerie (sp??). The people here are very knowledgable, smart and extremely friendly ... so ask your questions they'll help willingly.

Beryl, Belle is sure a beauty! I'm sure Snappy will be happy to know about another stunner in her line.

Greytdog, sometimes 7 rats does feel like an infestation! My daughter has 5 (4 girls, 1 neutered boy) in her room, and I have 2 elderly boys that live in my bathroom. Hubby's not so thrilled with that, but I'm in charge, so who cares! Snappy hasn't met my boys, but she did get to sniff the big cage and handled it ok. We'll sure be keeping an eagle eye on her where they're concerned, though.

I'll try to get together some pics in an album so everyone can see the clan soon.
