Hi^^
So... I've had 2 Greys for around five years, ex racers, and try as I might, I CANNOT leave them unaccompanied in the house or something really messy is bound to happed. Unless I take them from room to room with me, they have to be kept on the tile floor, I'd really like to have them able to roam the house as they please.
I've done the house training, they'll do great for about a month, then once one accident happens, we have to go through the whole thing again. Most dogs won't "go" where they sleep, right? With my two boys, that's simply not the case, whether they have a room or a kennel, it doesn't seem to matter. What should I do about this?
(It's not just marking, by the way. It's everything.)

Wow, what a pain. Don't know if I can be any help at all, but starting with the basics, what are you using to clean the messes up with? I use PetTastic and OxyClean, and when I use a carpet cleaner, I'll use a little of the carpet shampoo that comes with the machine, then the rest OxyClean. Be sure not to use anything with ANY ammonia in it at all. I've seen people recommending window cleaner because it cuts through grease so well, but it has ammonia in it and only encourages animals to pee more.
There are also other products that will discourage dogs and cats from marking or using areas for elimination - sprays and such. I don't know how effective they are, but someone else on the board may have used them.
I really feel your pain. I had a couple huskies for over a decade, and they were notoriously hard to train. I had to supervise them constantly, monitor water intake, and try a number of different feeding schedules until we got it worked out. It took a very long time - like, years. The advent of cleaning products that actually worked made a huge difference, though.
I wish you luck - I know how frustrating it can be.
