The holidays are just about here again. And with them comes stress and anxiety. According to the National Mental Association, depression peaks over the holidays. So, if you feel depressed or just stress, here are some tips:

Talk honestly to someone.

Stick within your normal life routine as much as possible.

Make realistic goals and expectations.

Don't be afraid to say no to parties or obligations that will crowd your time.

Set a realistic budget and stick to it.

Do not use the season as a time to cure past problems.

Find time for yourself.

If you are feeling especially down, for example, your sleep or appetite is effected, please contact your doctor.

Great tips.

I don't like the holidays because everyone is acting crazy, gotta feel the pressures of buying gifts, people often get rude and pushy, lot more crime happens. It's not about what gifts should I get, but more on the religion aspect and being with family. That is the true holiday.

I just like to be with family for the holidays and no presents. It was great when we were children but now I don't really care for gifts.
