DETROIT (UPI) -- Four women who missed a performance of "The Lion King" while trapped in an elevator at the MGM Grand Detroit Casino are finally getting to the show.

On Saturday, MGM is providing them with dinner, an overnight stay and tickets to "The Lion King" at the Detroit Opera House along with transportation to and from their homes in the suburbs. Husbands or boyfriends get cut in on the deal as well, The Detroit News reported.

"I'm grateful they are offering this," said Traci Bradley, an elementary school teacher who lives in Howell. "This is more than I could ask for."

The women spent two hours stuck in the elevator along with three men Dec. 1. They used the emergency telephone and discovered they were talking to someone at the Otis Elevator headquarters in Connecticut.

After an elevator repairman failed to free them, they called the Otis dispatcher back and asked her to summon the Detroit Fire Department. Firefighters finally got them out, too late for the show.

That's nice of them to do that...
