I am so sadden by this news and very confused. I really can't believe that the tiger jumped over a 18 foot wall and a 20 foot moat. To me it just seems like a virtually impossible feat for a 300 pound Siberian tiger to leap that high. I know my Big Cats, I have spent many hours learning about them and having the honor of working with them in the Baltimore Zoo by doing enrich studies and educating the visitors who came to the zoo. I love the big cats, they are remarkable and just beautiful. This case has now become a criminal investigation and possible human error , may be someone left the door open, or, the visitors might have been fooling around and might have taunted the tiger and might have helped her get out by putting a board in the moat. Its so sad, one person lost their life and two people injured and poor Tatiana was killed. There is more to this story and I hope the police get to the bottom of it. It would not surprise me if the cat was taunted and lead out by these young men and if that is what happened, shame on them and lock up the two men who lived.
