Here's my new foster. Her name is Gail, and we have some suspicions about her parentage, but no firm evidence. She's a definite firecracker, though. I thought greyhound puppies were busy, but this girl is turbo charged! She is sweet, loving, focused and tenacious. She can sit, sit up, comes when you call, has horrible leash manners , and quickly attaches herself to "her" person. Oh, and she's super, super smart. Whoever adopts her really ought to do agility or flyball with this little pistol.

She is cute, and she is sweet, but my goodness! she is keeping me on my toes. Speaking of toes... any good ideas about how to clip nails on a dog that absolutely does not want them done?

What a cutie!!! As far as nails go, some of ours will not let us do them, so they go to Petco or Petsmart when we're there doing Meet and Greets. Our hounds are done in no time, and don't give the groomers any hassle.

I got a call about Gail yesterday. Whoohoo! A couple with kids would like to meet her today. Gail would be a wonderful family dog, so we'll see how it goes this afternoon.

Gail's only problem, the only thing that keeps her from being the perfect dog is her leash aggression. She's wonderful with other dogs off leash, but if she's on a leash she suddenly feels the need to protect her human. Any suggestions? Oh, and food doesn't distract her.
