Thank you Beryl, it really wasn't that much. It was up to $22.00 a month and really wouldn't have made a difference to us, so for what Allies has done for us it's the least we could do for them. Allies went out of their way to make sure Time came to live with us, he was in a kill kennel and they got him out when I asked about him.

Our Hershey was in a Kill shelter in Ohio and Pam had rescued her and posted on Greyhounds Reach The Beach "Ohio Grey Needs a Home". Asked her if Pittsburgh was too far away and she responded no. Send me references and we traveled to Chilicothe (sp?) and got her. She did check all my references and also my vet. When she e-mailed me she was ours I screamed so loud that the DH came flying up the stairs thinking something happened to me. We think she is 4 years old and is starting to grey around her eyes and looks like a backward racoon.

Here is our story..........
I found Sky on line at the Allies website, I loved the way she was marked, a bit of brindle on one side and white with black ticking the rest of the way. Allies had a M&G on laborday saturday, I told DH I wanted to go, chances were she would not be there. As we walked up to Petsmart that day we saw the greys, one dog got up and meet us at the gate, gave me a kiss and then went to Bob and gave him a kiss. I asked her name and they told me Sky, I said no way. They let me walk her and then we went into the store, she found a stuffie and I bought it for her along with some treats. As I was filling out the app. I got to the vet part, right off the top of my head don't know the number or address, they asked his name I told them. Guess what it was Sky's vet also. Mary brought her for a home visit and Sky didn't want to leave. That's Sky's story.
I was looking at the Greyhound data base and found out that their was 3 in the littler we had Sky and their sister was adopted, Time was still racing. I started to ask questions about him to the group, they were able to get him to us and I got to go on the GUR run and see him and bond with him first. That's Times story.

That is really a greyt story. I don't know if you know this or not but I have Softee (SofteShoeSureShot) who's sire was Oshkosh Racey and then a friend in Florida found Penske (Magic Penske) who's grandsire was Oshkosh Racey. So I have the aunt and nephew. Belle aka Jams Beryl P was named after me and never made the circuit.
