Full Version: Gus and Isabella Introduce
Its been many months since we lost Miss Milly to osteo. We have thought about adding another hound to the mix but "the right one" just hadn't shown itsself. Several weeks ago, Lee, our adoption kennel manager called and asked if my daughter wanted to come see a little blue brindle girl that would more than likely come off the track shortly. What a honey she is. She had her "personal surgery" on Wednesday. Marian went and picked her up yesterday. She is very sweet and still very timid and shy. She is afraid of the ceiling fans and still learning her way around the house. I think shes going to fit in nicely. May I present Miss Skye

Tom, Dont know yet whether she is coming to Sandy Paws or not. She is really really timid and has not really ever been exposed to crowds and a lot of "everyday stuff". Were're going to see how well she adjusts to the move from kennel to house and so forth before we make that decision. The last thing we want to do is push her into what might be a scary situation for her.

I agree with you take it slow and easy
[SIZE=7]What a beautiful face. I have two (Missy and Duke) and Duke is still afraid of things that are either new to him, or make loud noises. We got him in Oct of 04 and he was 5 years old and just off the track. Missy is a very laid back, nothing scares me, kind of girl. We thought Duke would be afraid of everything the first time we took him to Dewey but he surprised us and did very well. A little more cautious about everything than Missy is. You'll know when the time is right to introduce your new baby to crowds etc. Mommys always know - lol. Lorraine

Congrats. How is it going?
Slow and steady on getting used to new things. She went for her first shopping trip and we had to literally push her in the door. Once inside and looking around Pet Supermarket, she got a little more comfortable with it. Still very shy around new people.
Glad it's getting better each day.
