Full Version: Greyhound Meet & Greet
graytdog
Hi everyone,
I am in the middle of planning a meet & greet to raise money and awareness for Greyhound adoption and GRA Canada.
I have a sponsor, a date, a place but right now I am trying to put together an info pamphlet. Is anyone any good at that sort of thing on the computer and can explain how to design using Task Launcher, Open office or some other program I can find? I would like it to be like a three piece folded thing with writing on both side (like a travel broucher) or a small multi-page pamphlet like a booklet (half the size of a 8.5 x 11 sheet).
Also I hope to include a section of grey owner friendly web sites/forums (like everything greyhound) so if you know of a good one please let me know.
D2P thank you and can I also put the one for Milkysgreytgoodies in as well?
If anyone has ideas, suggestions or a really lovely story about their adoption process that they would let me use I would appreciate it.
I would like to also compile a book (binder for now maybe a spiral bound book eventually to be given to adoption groups ??? getting ahead of myself) of all the greyt, wonderful and heart-warming stories of how people got their dogs, funny things they have done or wonderful tributes to friends that are now at the rainbow bridge to have at the table so people can read them and begin to understand just how much this breed touches the very soul of their owners and changes their lives forever.
Thanks,
Tara

So the town has pulled the plug on my M&G. emo-th_headbangwall.gif mad.gif They require the group (GRA Canada) to have $1 million liability insurance and they don't have it for this kind of situation. However I am still planning to walk around town (hopefully with a few others) the weekend of the Heritage Festival and pass out info on greyhound adoption, greyhound breed, the group we got Ty from and online grey friendly/helpful web sites. A bunch of greys walking around and having a picnic in a park is bound to draw attention and questions I am sure.
Thanks,
Tara
