Should we start one?
Why not? It'll get the excitement going. I'll start:
Now that I'm retired, I'm hoping we can afford to go this year. We've paid our deposit on our motel room. Are plans are for staying 9-10 days this year. I'm already excited about going. Also for GIG!

Oh no its to soon, that means your wishing summer away and heading back into winter. 
We don't want to rush the nice summer away.
Looking forward to Spring and working in my flower gardens, I love Springtime and the summer!!

This reminds me of Thursday and we were already talking about DEWEY, we all had such a great time last year and are so looking forward to this year.
Maybe this year when we all hit the boardwalk in OC we will get more than a few blocks, but we did a lot of mini meet & greets and promoted our hounds.
Beryl, Jimmy and Terri and Skip and I always get to GIG, if not to shop then to look at everything and talk to lots of other greyhound owners. Its a blast.

Yeah Beryl, we'll be at GIG, but I don't count that as a get away. It's only a 45 minute drive for us. If we do this year like we did last year, Terri and I will drive up on Friday to shop without the hounds, then back again Saturday with the hounds so we can have fun together.
We vend at GIG and it's only about 1.5 hour drive for us. We have been to every GIG since the group was only about 5-10 of us and before vending.
We registered for Dewey today, and our motel room has been set up for 10 days!

Our Motel is set up for Thursday through Sunday. I do not get any vacation time so if I don't work I don't get paid..
We hope to be in Dewey, but can't say for sure yet.
Dewey is considered vacation time for us. Have not decided to go to FL yet even though we have two invites....
I'm glad you'll be in Dewey Beryl, and I hope D2P and M2P will be there this year.
It's too early to say, but we hope we can.

At least you made it to Sandy paws and GIG I would love to do both but we will have to see how the buget is for next year.
Darn D2P. We were really hoping you would be there. But of course we do understand. I hope that things will change. There's still plenty of time, this is way early right now, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

I don't want the summer to end anytime soon, but it's nice knowing vacation time is coming.

Looking forward to summer, warm days. Its cool today, does not feel like May the 17th, come on warm air, no more cold fronts, tired of it.
Bitchilly here today with rain and thunder storm. Also the sun was in and out and sometimes out with the rain but it was more in than out

It was so cool seeing the dolphins last year!!
There are always dolphins to see.
Love watching the dolphins but could not catch any pics with the digital so will have an instamatic this year

The couple who fostered Penske will be there this year from Jacksonville. They have Highway who is Softee's half brother and Eclipse who is Penske and EZ's half brother.

On another note, we spent 4 1/2 hours at the emergency room last night/this morning. Terri cut her finger with a very sharp knife. She ended up with either 8 or 10 stitches in her index finger, so she's bandaged up pretty good. We didn't get home until almost 3:00 am.

Thanks Tom. Terri is ok. Her finger throbs, but the excitement of Dewey overshadows the pain.
In case I don't remember, (I have a bad memory) if you don't hear from us, you can always call us.
Next year I'm going to do things different here. I will start writing notes about different things, and when people are coming in. Things like that. There is so much going on that it's hard to remember where and when.
But we'll catch up to you when you get in. Have a safe trip.

I know we are on the 3rd floor, we were leaving this morning but my dh now has to go into work for a half day tomorrow, emergency situation! I am so disappointed I wanted to get down there today and get set up, but because he is the one that makes the money now with me in school can't complain. We will be there late tomorrow night, I hope we get to meet, I am on the third floor. I am not sure of the room number, we were staying at the Sea Esta 1 but due to the fire we got lucky and got the last room at Sand Palace. I really hope to get to met you all.....
We will be leaving Thursday Morning (still thinking positive the surgeon is going to say yes) and will arrive Thursday Evening and we will be at the Rehoboth Inn which is across from the run

You won't be able to miss us! We drive a silver Town and Country. My siggy is also my front license plate. WV tag on back reads 45MPHK9Z, and our groups logo on the back window. Plus walking 5 hounds. I love being where we are. I called the Sand Palace the other night, and they just got a 1st floor room cancellation. I could have had it, but they said it was for this year only. And if I took it, I would lose dibs on my room next year. So we decided to stay where we are. It's a cool place.
Can't wait to meet you.
Have a safe trip and we will be coming in behind you, but we have a 10-hour drive, we probably want be coming in until about 3 in the morning, so if you see anyone come in the wee hours with 4 dogs in tow and saying SHHHHH we will be trying to stay very quiet. But we drive a Chrysler Mini Van and we have all 4-dogs names on the back. Can't wait to meet you also.

I really don't care about Dewey. It's not like it use to be. At least this will be a vacation for us and the hounds.
Since all the vendors are scattered in hotel rooms, it's not fun walking to find vendors, plus it's pretty much the same vendors. I am not a buyer.
I am glad we'll be at our house in Bethany and hopefully enjoying the weather, beach and getting a tan.
Dewey has gotten so big and all the dogs and some people are more interested in talking with people and not watching their dogs.
I really like GIG the best, it's not big and it's in Gettysburg which is a cool town and full of history.

Called Jimmy and gave his the good news I can tell you that they arrived safe and sound when I called him he was just checking into the motel..
