Got and inquiry about Gail earlier this week from a gentleman in Juneau, AK. He and his family had had a blue heeler for 20 years, and were eagerly looking for another. They saw Gail on the website and fell in love. Sounded like a nice man with a nice family, and luckily one of our volunteers happened to be in Juneau this week so she was able to do a home visit. They checked out and Gail gets on a plane tomorrow! (6am which means I have to have her there by 5am - ugh.) I'm so happy for her. She so needs her own people, and as much as she loves playing with Chloe, she's going to love being the only dog who gets all the love and attention.
I did a slideshow for the family and thought I'd include it here:

Well, I took Gail to the airport this morning. Tough job. I'm going to miss that little ball of dynamite on four legs. She did really good though. She saw a giant mounted polar bear and decided it was her job to defend the airport against it, then greeted everyone behind the ticket counter and back in the luggage loading area. It wasn't until I put her in the crate that I got the look of betrayal. Ugh. She should be fine, though. She's going to a home that's going to lavish the love and attention on her. I'll be tracking her flight all morning, though!

Gail had a very safe flight and her people were ready and waiting for her when she arrived. They are VERY pleased with her and love her to death. I've been getting updates about how she's doing, but no pictures yet. As soon as I get some, I'll post 'em. I'm so very happy for her!
