Last night Time got loose and took off. We had company over and someone went out to the garage, didn't shut the door all the way and he got in there. I had to get something from out there and opened the door hit the button to open the door, that's the only light we have out there, by the time I saw Time was out there he was gone. We went looking all over for him and nothing. I came back to the house got Sky and we went walking next thing I knew I saw him running down the road about 2 bloocks from us. I called him he came and everything turned out well. I'm still very shaky though, and Time is exhusted but other wise fine.

Me too, I have to say last night was one of the worst nights of my life, while looking for him all sorts of things were going through my mind.

I can just imagine that. Our Zeus and Milky got out the gate once and were running down our sidewalk, Trish called out to Zeus and he came back right away. Milky was just scrolling up and down the sidewalk and our neighbor happend to see this going on and came out and called Milky. Milky came right over to her.
Since we walk them up this sidewalk all the time in the neighborhood, they probably just thought they were on a walk.
It is scary.

Hershey has got away from us three times and not locally
Once in Ohio with the leash trailing behind
another time in Dravosburg at a Fireman's Festival running the ball fields one by the river and the other by the highway
Another time in Florida on the farm where we think she was running on the track Martha turned the lights on and she came back to Martha but not to us. Knew we would yell at her

We need a smilie of someone having a heart attack!
Good grief! I know its okay now, but geesh! Let me get some coffee! Oh goodness.
-
I had 3 of mine get out one day...steaming hot summer too! I had been at the adoption kennel & someone had brought some of those mattress top pads for the dogs & they had an extra one so I got it. I went dragging it up the yard & into the front door & I thought I left it on the porch, but the glass door caught on it.
I went to turn everyone out of their crates in the kennel room & then I went to go open the back door & Pegasus was going out the door, when I hollered, he quickly turned around & came back in...but Gogh Pipi & BuyCut were half way up the street.
I got my keys, 3 leashes & shut the front door...I got in the car & 10 houses up, spotted them in someone's carport, being nosey! I stopped the car & Gogh saw me & came running to me & jumped in the car. I rattled the keys & yelled, Hey...who wants to go for a ride & here comes Pipi & BuyCut! All 3 of them were burning up hot...so when I got them home, cool water for everyone & then I hosed them down with the water hose outside, no scolding of course! Then I had a cold diet coke! Oh geesh!
Gogh had a little scrape on his pads from running, but they were okay.

I'm so happy everything turned out ok. Greys love giving us near heart attacks sometimes, and a lot of us have had our hearts in our throats from time to time.

On my goodness. I just can't image what you were going though. My parents' cat got out twice and both times we knew he was under their deck. I hope I never go though that with Misty, I'm not sure if she would come to me . I'm so glad Time is safe and back home.

Thanks everyone, I hope I never go through this again, then this morning he came down the stairs way to fast, landed on the floor and was holding up his front paw I checked him out gave him an asprin and crated him, he is fine was just outside doing laps. This must be his weekend to scare the living hell out of me.

Okay, I think ya'll need to just shut all the doors & windows, put the dogs in their crates & everyone go back to bed...no do this, bring the dogs into the bedroom & let them in the bed with you...just everyone stay in one room for the rest of the weekend...
Running up & down the streets, then falling down the stairs...this is just too much for one weekend.

Yes it is, he has been sleeping with me on the couch, in order to sleep with me in bed we have to go back up stairs, I will hold ing his collar again when coming down for a while.
