Two weeks ago a young couple were taking their garbage to a garbage transfer site in Salcha, a little community about 40 miles south of here. In the dumpster they were using they saw a snow covered box. I don't know what made them notice the box, but they did. They pulled out the box and inside was an emaciated almost dead puppy. They brought the pup home and nursed her back to health. Unfortunately, their landlord won't let them have dogs, even darling little rescued by the skin of their teeth cute as pie puppy dogs. The couple contacted us and now I have an unpotty trained, rambunctious, can't stop wagging her tail, loves to give kisses, bundle of wiggles. And it's -40. Oh my.
Here are some pictures. We're pretty sure she's a pit mix, but feel free to throw out your best guess. She's about 9 weeks old and a total land shark. Her name is Misty.

Here she is next to Chloe. You can see how tiny she is. Chloe's less than 60lbs and VERY fine boned.

. I'm doing reference and vet checks on some people today with (I hope) a home visit this afternoon.
