Full Version: Another New Foster
simile
This is Punkin. Her former name was Burrito. Yes, Burrito. There was just no way I could call her that. We're not 100% sure on the mix since AC had paperwork that listed five different combos, but the original intake stated Ridgeback mix, and that was from the original owners. I spent HOURS online looking at hundreds of pictures of Ridgie mixes, Staffie mixes, Boxer mixes - you name it. The pictures that looked like her were the Ridgie mixes, and there was a Ridgie/Boxer mix that could've been her littermate.

She is an absolute love, just full of kisses and wiggles. She and Chloe are snuggled right now on the dog bed here in my office, and this is the first foster that Tip has played with right off the bat. She's fitted into the gang without issue. She's a wonderful girl.

She is beautiful. Does she have the ridge of fur on her neck/back (that tends to be a dominant gene)? She is beautiful! I love the Ridgeback breed (but I know I am to much of a pushover to own one). Good luck finding here a forever home ... with a cute face like hers it should be hard.

She remindes me of my first rescued dog Brandi. Everyone thought she was a Ridgeback, but mine didn't have the ridge. Mine was actually a redbone coonhound.

Your foster is beautiful, you can definately see that boxer face. emo-dogcookie.gif

Nope, no ridge, which is what made me spend so much time looking all over the internet trying to figure out if AC and the original owner were whacked emo-confused013.gif . A lot of the mixes don't have the ridge, but so many of the pictures I saw, and the descriptions I read were a match for her, I figured maybe they did know what they were talking about emo-hehe.gif .

Here's another picture.

Well whatever she is she is adorable. I love the last picture you posted of her. She looks so regal, deserving of a throne most definitely. Good luck finding her a home.

Punkin just went to her new family last night. A very nice couple with a GSD mix who was very happy to have a new friend in the house. They were just so smitten with her when they came to visit, and she liked them so much, especially the husband that I think she'll be very happy with her new family and life.

That's wonderful!! emo-cheer2.gif

Just got an update from Punkin's (now Teak) new family, and she sent pictures! Things are going swimmingly. The girls are getting along great, and now that Burch (that's Teak's new sister) has someone to play with, she's not quite so demanding on her humans emo-hehe.gif .

Pups with Dad - Burch doing her kitty imitation, and Teak soakin' up the love
