We got to see Nick today. He is looking so good. He is such a sweet boy. He now weights 68.5 lbs. He has been adopted by a wonderful new family and his Mommy was at the kennel tonight with him. They have changed his name to Phoenix. The vet said that he can go home when he reaches 75 lbs.

I'm so happy he's doing so good, and that he's got a family that will take care of him. Poor boy has been through enough.

I'm just getting back to the boards after a very tough winter with rare internet access. For some reason this thread caught my eye, and I'm SO HAPPY to hear that Nick finally has a "happily ever after". That sore on his leg just broke my heart!

Hi Karen, glad to see you on the board!!!! I think Nick pretty much has been adopted by everyone on the board. He's very special.

Everytime I see that picture of his leg, I hurt.
I'm so so so super dooper glad he has a new name & a new family & a new future!
