Would the AR's be interested in helping out with their political connections with this bill, or would helping get this legislation through to protect and promote the welfare of the racing animals be considered pro-racing?

Can we come to a agreement to help the dogs out with legislation in FL then you can go back to spending money on legislation to shut down racing?

If you can get money mandated to adoption groups, any adoption group PR,AR or neutral added onto this bill, that would be fantastic.

The dogs have no legislative voice through PR and neutral groups down here. Could you please help the dogs?

Activists. Groups. Anyone that will help get this through. Everyone is so caught up with trying to either get the slots or fight the slots that this bill is sitting way longer than it should be.

There is virtually no legislation that give the state rights to make rules on how the dogs should be taken care of. If there are no legal guidelines it makes it awfully hard to hold people accountable for the condition and care of the dogs.

Someone really needs to attach money for adoption on there somewhere too.

One of the sections I read extends it to the greyhound farms and horse farms too.

It looks like it can be used to make the tracks maintain the tracks too.

It would also be a great tool to get the "bad" apples out. It's definitely a step in a good direction.

Article about SB 590, the kennel that they're talking about in Orlando at the time was closing- the guy was flat broke. I went to cat test and I'll tell you what, I've been in some smelly kennels before but this one was the absolute worst of all time. I went and bought him some bleach and GCGA gave him a ton of flea and tick stuff for the dogs- he never used any of it- he sold it to some other kennels. That's what the bad apples will do.

We talked to the state inspector and he said he was already on his way to the kennel to have a talk with the owner. He had already been notified of the problem from 3 other trainers. That's what the good apples will do.
