about 7:15 am Belle had another seizure and only lasted about a minute. Her last one was March 1, 2008. This one was very mild compared to the other two. All three have happened when she was sleeping. She was in her crate again and the other hounds could not get near her to hurt her. She did urinate in her crate during the seizure and off course the mucus. Her post seizure time for also about 1 minute but very scared with the tail tucked very tight. Legs again were stiff as a board. Will let you know what the vet wants to do as soon as I get hold of him. Please pray for Belle that it is nothing serious. She will be 4 on the 4th. of April

Beryl, this is terrible. I know the seizures could be worse, but she's so young to go through this. Will be thinking and praying for her today. Please let us know what the doc says.

Got hold of the office, does not think she needs to be seen, will make sure the vet knows about it and is putting it on her chart. Her last one was March 1 and poor thing will be 4 on the 4th.

She is acting normal again but will wait to hear from the vet's office. I believe I read that there has to be a pattern of three or more in a month. Right now it is a wait and see

I was upstairs and Dave handled it this time. It was such a short one I did not have time to get downstairs. I only saw the post seizure where here tail was tucked so tight that anyone walking in would think she was a maile

I think Gabby was 6 or 7 when she had her first seizures. Its so scarey. I didn't know what in the world was going on. She had 4 in 45 minutes & one of them was right there in front of the evet...he put her on valium & kept her all day...then I took her to my vet the next morning (it was a sunday).
That sounds just like the way my friend Cynde's male Captain does. He has them while he's asleep & screams horribly. When they're not home, she puts him in a spare room just in case he does have one because the others get upset over his screaming.
Please her heart...I'm so glad she's with you.

At least no screaming with the last two the first one yes but she had fallen into the attic cupboard and the other hounds were in a frenzy. We got them out of the bedroom and Dave got her out of the cupboard and he got scratched something fierce. She was in that one quite a while as we were all sleeping when it happened. Took her awhile to come out of it and then could not walk down the stairs - Dave carried her down. The young Vet put her on heavy doses of Pheno and then took her off -No more seizures. Made him do it gradually so her last dosage was 325mg 2/day. These other two no screaming but as stiff as a board were her legs, and she growled at us when she came out of the second one. This one was not as bad and come out of it very fast exept her tail was tucked very tightly for some time. She needs a bath and I do not want to excite and maybe cause another one so I think we will wait until the week end when we are both home all day. She peed and got it all over herself
All three seizures happened when she was sleeping

Beryl, are you journaling her seizures, date time length...I just thought of something...remember I told you about Snowy & her episodes occuring both when we did the time change...also write down what the moon is doing also.
I have several friends who have told me alot of babies are born during a full moon...lots of mood swings happen during full moons also. I know that from being in customer service here at FedEx...
Gabby's last seizure was on a Sunday, 12:30 December 30...I looked it up. It was the week Dear died.
I have been watching for her to have one after BuyCut died, especially since they were all in the area with him, but she hasn't had one.
She goes & hides when she has one, afterwards...she'll go & get in a crate or in the vanity area where its dark. I've been told to leave her alone afterwards to keep her from having more. I forgot what they call that time afterwards.

Maybe take a soft, warm wash cloth to clean her, keep her from getting chaffed...I know sometimes I bathe Gabby that way...just warm water, no soap...never heard so much moaning in all my life. The soft cloth & warm wather is soothing...

We are trying to keep a history on it but did not know about the moon part. Funny tho on GT they have something about Spring and Summer. She is doing greyt today and has eaten her breakfast. I still have to bath her as her peed in her crate and got it all over herself but we will wait unitl this weekend to do that.

Belle is doing greyt and her regular )(&&^&%%$ self. This last seizure was the mildest one so far.

That is good. I love it when they get back to their old selves.
My friend Cynde, her dog Captain had a seizure Saturday afternoon...it was a quiet one, but alot of thrashing. He's the one that screams during his episodes. He was okay when I was there, just pacing the floor alot.
