I had actually told the director of the adoption kennel that I would have him put down, he was vicious! People would walk by his crate, looking at dogs up for adoption & he was vicious! People would just stare at him & he'd get louder & louder! A law suit just waiting to happen. It didn't matter if it was a man or woman...he was vicious!
Then Ollie, one of the turn out girls told me to come back there one day. She walked over & he didn't bark or anything. She opened his crate & got him out...I never saw a dog wiggle & wobble so much & the sparkle in his eyes! There was a scared puppy in there just waiting to bounce out.
After that, when I would go visit, I walked straight to his crate & he'd actually stand there snarling...I'd open his crate & poof, Mr. Snarly was gone & there stood Mr. Sparkle.
I took him home one day & everyone crowded around, sniffed...and it was instantly like Oh...its Jack.
Now when I have to board him, its known to Vicki & her staff that he will bite while in the crate, no fingers please. So she boards him on the bottom, last crate to keep visitors from bothering him. The staff knows to not let anyone bother him while inside the crate. But you let him out & he's a big ole bouncy boy.
I got home while ago from the meet/greet & I bent down to get the bag of catfood & I almost got my teeth knocked out because he was bouncing.
He cuddles really really good!
