Greyhounds Invade Gettysburg is only 1 week away. We'll be there mid Friday to set up for Friday's vending and be there all weekend. Come stop by Milky's Greyt Goodies booth and say Hi to Trish, Trish's Aunt and me and our hounds.

Terri and I will be there on Friday to do our shopping, then we'll be back on Saturday with our hounds. We'll be in the parade with some of our group.(We'll have a banner), and then just hanging around the vendor area.

I'll be around... working vendor check-in on Friday; on Saturday & Sunday I'm trying to stay a tourist. I'm not sure about hounds... definately not bringing any Friday since I'm working. Wasn't going to bring any on Saturday either cause I want to hear Rory's talk - but it looks like I might need to transport a few (a long story). I'm not sure how that works, can I hear Rory if I have a foster or two to stuff under the chair? Sunday is all about the dogs and I am certainly bringing my whole crew to that! I hope it's not too hot, it's miserable for the hounds on that hot asphalt in the vendor area when it heats up.

I just found out I have a run to Philly that weekend- if I just want to stop by GIG should I still register?

Pat, it always goes toward a good cause, but if you just hang around the vendors like a lot of us do, you don't have to.

I'm so freaking excited- I never get to go to any of the greyhound things, I always get stuck with keeping a eye on things here while everyone else goes. Not this time!!!!

Pat - if you want to hear Rory's talk you'll need to register... Knowing you, I think you'd enjoy his talk. It's at 2:30 on Saturday. Beverly Sebastian is talking about the Prison program and grant funding at 1:30... Lee Livinggood (Retired Racing Greyounds for Dummies) is talking at 12:30.

I sent them a email to see if I could register there. I'm going to move back my start time on that run so I can try to make it back for Rory's talk.

Just so everyone is aware, the vendors are only set up on Friday and Saturday. NOT Sunday. Get your shopping done before the end of the day Saturday.

Hi All, we had a great time seeing D2P and M2P and their aunt, and all their wonderful hounds. Our hounds are pooped out and will sleep all day today, except whoever want to do a M&G.

We had a really good time and those EGer's we saw. I think I got to much sun. A little sun burn. We had some violent storms last night, but they happened around 6pm and we were all finished vending.
I'll post some pictures soon.

We also had a beautiful day for our craft show - we were inside a fire station that had 9 bays and they had the door open until the rain came and I was waiting to see a couple of cats and dogs that is how hard it rained and then they had to close the bay doors but it cleared up and they re opened them

GIG was a blast.
I did get to say hi to Tom and waved to Trish but I don't think she remembered me. That's ok. I was pretty busy in my booth both days and didn't get to any of the seminars but Lee Livingood dropped in to chat for a bit and I already knew what Rory's talk was about.
I didn't mind the weather at all but I'm not used to all that humidity anymore.

Kathy, I'm sorry we didn't get to say hi. We didn't see you on Friday, but we figured we'd stop and say hi on Saturday. But with 5 hounds in tow, it was hard to get around everyone. I even had on my "Just Winston" shirt.
