Hi All,
Its been a long time since I have been able to get back to EG. Clark had his right rear leg amputated due to osteo and he developed some problems in healing which has delayed his chemo treatments almost 2 months. He is to go to South Paws Tues for his 1st treatment and I know they will do a blood test to check for cancer so please say a prayer for him that all will be okay. He is only 5 yrs which is why we decided to go this route, he has been a real trouper through everything and you would not believe the way he is now running in the yard.
Nebby is 9 1/2 & has osteo also, its his right rear leg also. We decided that as his age we would manage his pain and keep him comfortable for the time he has remaining. He is doing well and almost acting like a puppy at times.
Isis & Thor are doing well and am keeping fingers crossed that they remain healthy.
Now that things are beginning to settle down I hope to be more active on the site again, so all take care and hugs your hounds.
Linda
to you with the gd cancer. We have been through it but not lucky enough to catch it to do the amputation. Our beloved Phawn was diagnosed very late and we only have two short weeks after they diagnosed her. What a heartbreak. Shadow with Fibrosarcoma we had her a few years after her diagnosis. I wish they had a cure so that we do not have to go through the loss of our beloved babies
