Beryl

The pillow that will be going up here is the one that Pat bid on and won. She has donated it back to the Memorial Fund. Jimmy will be posting the picture and what was posted about it originally.

It is the same pillow that was up originally. Pat has donated it back to The Apache Memorial Fund

Thanks to xracers who won the auction and graciously donated the pillow back to be auctioned again. She was just happy to donate the money to help offset Apache's large medical bill.
The design was airbrushed and it's completely washable. Do not bleach, wash in cold water, gentle cycle, and dry on low temperature.
This auction will run for 10 days and end on Wednesday, May 14th at midnight EST.
APACHE MAY BE GONE, BUT HE WILL REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS, AND NOT BE FORGOTTEN.

Beryl and I were thinking of an EG paypal account where you can donate monies for any pup that needs help with medical bills, surgery etc.
Don't know how we could do this? Any ideas, please share.

I think anyone with an e-mail addy can have a paypal account.
mom2greys
4th May 2008 - 08:29 PM
That's true but you have to have a paypal account to do this so funds can be transfred. They need your bank account info. Just remember paypal takes a small amount of the funds transfered.
I think this is a wonderful idea.

to the both of you.

What an awesome gesture! Apache was such a special dog in so many ways. To know that he will not be forgotton makes his loss a little more bearable. There is no way to thank all of you for your support and for caring so much. during a very sad time.
Thanks D2P for giving everyone the ability to honor Apache's memory here and through his loss to help other hounds in need. Thanks Beryl for the beautiful pillow. Thanks Pat for the donation and for sending the pillow back for another auction. Thanks to everyone for caring!!!!

Your welcome. That is one reason I created EG. Not only for the fun stuff, but for times when hounds need help medically or as other things come up. As I said many times, I feel like EG is family and not just like other message boards. We here at EG care for each other, their hounds and hounds in need.
I have a paypal account and if you want, I can use it for this purpose. Let me know, give me some feedback.
Beryl
5th May 2008 - 11:47 AM
I also have a PayPal Account.
Apache pulled at my heart strings from the first time I saw his picture and then he burrowed his way into my heart/life when I heard about his illness. I cried my heart out when Hettie posted that "its over we let him go" I will never forget him and he has a niche in my heart the way my Bridge kids do.
Apache you fought a good fight but I do believe St. Francis wanted you to run free at the Bridge until we meet again.

I have a question, can I use the donate button to pay for my pillow or do I need to send another check?
Beryl
16th May 2008 - 05:18 PM
That is a good question and I guess only d2p or Hettie can answer that one
By the way I am glad the pillow is going to get a good home with you mom2greys and we are getting it ready to ship. Will probably ship it out the beginning of the week
Greys4Us
16th May 2008 - 05:41 PM
Mom2greys, since D2P isn't on line, I hope he won't mind me answering. You should be able to pay via the Paypal button. Just click on the donate button and you should see Apache's fund. You can type in the amount you want to pay.
The subject of the button will be changed with each "in need" dog that comes along.
D2P can correct this if it's wrong!!! But I think we got it all worked out so far. If the person donating the item wants to be reimbursed for the postage, we can also do that.
dad2paisley
16th May 2008 - 05:50 PM
The donate button works. So you can do it through paypal. You can add what ever shipping costs are to the total.
My question
How do I send Beryl the money?
Beryl
16th May 2008 - 05:54 PM
I do have paypal or we can figure something out
mom2greys
16th May 2008 - 06:07 PM
Just let me know so I can get this done. How much does paypal charge for this so I can make sure your getting what I want to send? I'll cover the paypal cost.
I would like to know if you got my first check though?
Beryl

I think Jimmy posted about the check
What I can do is wait until mom2greys receives the package and then she can send me the postage if that helps out.

When I have received a PayPal payment which included a refund or two they have always taken money out. It might just be to the person receiving the money. so many people who are on e-bay don't like paypal payments if the sale is under $10.00

I just found this - please read
Are there fees associated with PayPal services? Question : Answer : There are no fees to send money in the same currency.
PayPal will charge a small fee to your credit card when you link it to your PayPal account. The charge amount is once the PayPal code is entered and your card is confirmed.
There may be fees to receive payments and to withdraw funds to a non-U.S. bank account (depending on the amount you withdraw).
Personal accounts can accept a limited number of credit or debit card-funded payments per year and are assessed a transaction fee. To view your Personal account limit, log in to your account and click View Limits.
Premier and Business accounts are charged a small fee to receive payments. All fees are subject to change.
Fees are assessed at the time of the transaction. When you receive a payment in your account, PayPal deducts the fee. The fee amount appears in your transaction history in the Fee column.
