We want to get one, probably when we move. Any recommendations?

We went to Omni Fitness - it's a store that sells home fitness equipment. They brought it in and set it up. We don't use it often but promise each other that soon we will. At first I decided that it was because it was boring in th basement, so I bought a Walkman and some walking tapes. When that didn't make me go down to the treadmill, I decided that it was because it was dirty and moldy and disgusting down there. I don't have any idea anymore what it cost to bring Mid-Atlantic in to do their "french drain thing" around the entire basement, then hire my son (yeah - he's a carpenter) to build a room down there, carpet it and put in a propane fireplace. You're not going to believe this - but that didn't get us to use the treadmill either. In a last ditch attempt, we bought a 62" HD TV and a really sleek free-standing surround sound system. Don't ask how well that worked - at least hubby has a nice place to fall asleep while watching the Busch race tonight.

Oh yeah - the treadmill is a Life Fitness; with the chest band thing - it figures out what you should be doing to get stronger and better. But I hate it when it decides that I need to walk uphill - why don't treadmills ever send you down hill? Maybe THAT's what I need - if only I had a treadmill that went DOWNhill, then I would use it!

i walk on my treadmill at least 5 times a week (2 miles each time) its funny to see a treadmill in my tiny apartment espeically when i have to climb over tires to get to it (i'm a racing freak and i have tires in corners)

treadmills are great, espically for me since i live in an aparment complex with no places to go for a nice long walk, but it does take some self discipline!!

oh and they are also funny when a cat is playing on it and you turn it on!!

No, not yet. We are now looking in Gettysburg or York, PA.
