Oh my goodness, did I get a gem of a pup this time! She's an eight month old white Akita, who is just a sweet as can be. She's like a big slobbery teddy bear. The original owners had gotten her from a local "breeder" and I asked them if they had contacted him about returning her (they also had her brother from a previous litter) and they said they didn't want her going back to him - at all. These folks did a wonderful job raising her, and while she's not the best bred white Akita out there (hence, the pink nose), the guy did something right, because she's got a bullet proof temperament. She's great with big dogs, little dogs, kitties, kids and strangers. I'm sure some of the Akita protectiveness and aloofness with strangers will kick in as she matures, but I'm going to really emphasize, to whoever adopts her, how exceptional her socialization is right now and that it needs to be continued.
Oh, and her name is Chloe. Let me tell ya', that's creating some confusion around the house right now...
