Finally some pics of our trip to NY for a Canadian group.

Got on here in Frederick, MD. Greys4Us is the foreground in brown shirt. We took one pup, and a Leesburg VA group took one also. xracers (Pat) is in the red shirt.

Wonderful pictures Jimmy. I was able to go on a GUR run when Time came up from Fl. It was the most moving thing I have been through, everyone laughed at me because I was crying.

Thank you for sharing these pictures with us, and thanks for helping Pat and the hounds. emo-th_hugs.gif

I learned something new that day. She told me that when a dog is getting it's collar and leash on, which is the scary part, because it can get away easily at this point, if you hold the dogs back legs about an inch off the ground, they'll never try to get away. And not one dog even tried.

The secret is because the dog knows it doesn't have it's hind feet on the ground to catapult itself far away from you.

Jimmy, we know the couple in the first 2 pics. They are from Blue Mountain Greyhound. We did a few GUR's for them. We see them at all the greyhound events. They just lost 2 of their greys recently.

do you know which canadian group? we got some new pups and just wondering if they are from that gur?

When I started in the dog business I weighed 300 lbs., I dropped to 140 within 6 months because there's never time to stop and eat. The work is real physical too. I stayed at 140 for the ten years I was in the business and as soon as I closed the kennel I started pigging out again and I'm fixing to hit that 300 again!

D2P- John and Mary are such nice people! I had talked with John for many hours when I was up there on another run but I never really got a chance to talk with Mary. She called us several times to make sure we were doing ok and to tell us how her new boy was. They are real good people.

Dragonmom- I think the group is AAG but I'm not sure of that. It's Lynda Seed's group.

The hip hug is how we hold the dogs when we're morning schooling- they really can't get away if their back paws can't touch the ground.

I had a great time talking with Jimmy that day! I would have never been able to do that run without his help. Thanks again for that Jimmy!

Thanks Pat! I hope I get to ride with you again. I do know I'll get to see you during your Fredericksburg run when we get dogs.
