Happy June 1 to everybody.....Where has the year gone so far??
As its the first of June, its also the first day of this season. Time to check the generator, stock up on storm essentials like Beer, Rum, mixers, PB & J, Doritoes etc.
YAY almost summer, why wont it get here.

Way to go Hilda - That auction was a huge success my three blings generated $55.00 for Apache fund and I know the other stuff that was put up generated quiet a bit.

We're waiting on the air conditioner man again...its hot in here!
Poor Hilda it is warm and humid here too but probably not as bad as what you have.

We did good. Actually it felt cooler in the house when I shut off the unit until Steve got here. He put 70 lbs of freon in the unit, and we slept like puppies again. He's coming over the 14th & put a new unit in...I've been saving up & so I won't be too burdened.
Doggies did really good....they're all still passed out, no one woke me up during the night panting...that's a good thing!

I got home yesterday & again, we had no cool air. So instead of paying another $100 to get freon to leak out of the unit, I went to Home Depot this morning & bought a window unit for the den. New unit gets here NEXT Saturday!

Its 91 outside, clear & breezy. It got up to I think 94 yesterday. My lil window unit is doing a great job of keeping the pups happy & when the pups are happy, then the momma is happy!
got the casement ac in the kitchen and a fan blowing into the dining room, ac on in the living room and a small fan blowing into the dining room fairly comfortable and no panting hounds
It's 94 outside. The hedges aren't moving so that tells me there's no breeze. I let the pups out after our nap, they pottied & came right back inside.
Once it gets dark, cooler, I'll let them outside again. We had a nap...it was nice.[SIZE=7]

Those are just the ones in the adoption kennel. Got a whole bunch more next door in Kennel 2 from the yucky kennel we had to dea with. Will e-mail you the pdf file Beryl..
Thanks Leslie love the see the hounds then want them but the barn is full right now. If we do anymore adopting it is going to be senior hounds or broodies
Not anticipating you taking any. Thought you might like to see the babies. We are sending out some to other groups in Florida that have offered to help. Slowly but surly, we win the race as they say. One hound at a time is good enough for me. Hope your day cools off some. We've just had a bit of rain so the air is nicer for the moment...
Would love to take more but right now 6 is enough. Saw some at the kennel would love to have. I am just an addict. Will be waiting for pics of the other ones. I have not seen a grey I could not fall in love with. I have told people that same thing one at a time and I do not care who is adopting greyhounds if they have an auction I will try and donate something to it if I am told.
Sorry I haven't been on today, I've been out shoveling snow off the front & back porches, then I had to chop wood for the fire place...after that I got the snow plow out & cleared off the street for the others on my block. I knitted sweaters & booties for each doggie & color coordinated it to match their coloring & their birthdays. THEN we got outside & built a snow man!
Then I woke up....
Its not too bad here, it rained really good last night & cooled it off alot. Weather people say its 81 outside. I know it feels really nice here in the house!

Hilda how I wished it was that weather here. Saw another yellow butterfly today when I went over to take care of my neighbor who has MD. It was a pretty small one so I guess it was very young

We're still chilin' a little. Pups went out this morning, it was kinda nice. Pipi wanted someone to play wiff her but everyone was doing their biznuss and then coming right back in...She's now stretched out on the floor.
My sliding screen came off the track and I can't fix it have to wait until Dave gets home and I had to put the ac back on the house came too hot
