On November 9, 1965, states throughout New England, plus most of New York, and parts of Canada, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, were without power for up to 13 hours. an estimated 30 million people were affected by the power-grid failure.
Allegedly, the movie was "Algiers" (1938), starring Charles Boyer and Hedy Lamarr. Supposedly, the line appeared in a trailer for the movie but did not make the actual film. Most historians say the line was made famous by an animated skunk, Pepe Le Pew, in the cartoon "The Cats Bah" (1954), Pepe spoke the words in a sultry French accent as a pickup line to seduce a terrorized female cat that had only one thought on her mind, ESCAPE.

Until next time.
