Full Version: Who is near me?
Is there a thread here where we can post to find out if there are members who nearby? I would like to meet some Greyhound people in my area...I'd like to meet people in the Jacksonville, FL and Orlando, FL area.
Well, I work mostly with the Orlando groups but I live south of Melbourne, does that count?
It sure does! I'm currently living in Jax but moving back to Orlando within the next month. Melbourne is just up the road...I don't have any Greyhound friends that aren't online! I'm actually in Orlando visiting my family all this week and we may head out to Cocoa sometime.... 
You can post need to meet someone in ?????? and if anyone is interested they will answer you or even post I am a newbie in Orlando

I know there's a few dog parks over in Orlando that everyone is going to. Gas has got so expensive that I've really cut back on my trips over to Orlando.
I'm with Gold Coast Greyhound Adoptions- Orlando, I'll let you know when we are having something going on- you don't have to be a member to go to events and we generally have a good time when we all get together. We do all different kinds of stuff, we have field trips to the track, field trips to the farms, have nights out at restaurants and the restaurant donates money back to Gold Coast,etc.
Then there's the sometimes deadly night, 2 for 1 margarita's at one of the mexican restaurants. That tends to get pretty funny.....I always make sure that I have somewhere to stay over there before I go to that one.
At least you can meet some fellow greyhound fanactics in the area.

Oooh I would like that very much! Do let me know! I also was looking into volunteering at one of the adoption groups once I move here. My sister and I will be roommates and she wants to get a Greyhound too. Kilo needs a friend, so I'm all for it! I can't wait for the second one!!! Oh, and two-for-one margaritas sounds fantastic!

Oooh Miami! I don't travel there too much, but when I do I'd definitely love to meet some hounds!!! I love the Miami skyline pic too! I have a pretty one of Jacksonville that's done in purple, my fave color:

Orange Park is really nice...I currently live near Orange Park, and I've worked at the Kennel Club there too.
We go down every year to see our friends from the FTH family. If you see any nice homes for sale with a nice big fenced yard, let us know.

Did you work at the Kennel Club when my dog raced. He raced last year and his race name was WP's Blue. His brother also raced there WP's Crossfire.
If your ever near PGH, you have a friend in PA.

Sorry it took so long to reply...I've been having internet problems the past month. Yes, I worked there last year but it wasn't until October...I remember watching many dogs run, but I don't specifically remember your dog. The one I have now was running while I worked there, but I don't remember ever hearing his name...

I saw your pics of Paisley when she met her handlers again and I recognized their shirts!
