Full Version: Could It Be My Wisdom Tooth?
Patricia
For the past several days I 've been in so much pain, at first I thought I had an ear infection, then I thought no I think it may be my sinus infection, than the pain in my gum started, like a tooth was breaking though the gum line, I thought oh no, it can't be my last wisdom tooth. So, I made a dental appointment for tomorrow, earliest he could see me. It really hurts, I've taken over the counter pain medication, applied ice and heat with little relief and to drink something cold or hot, ouch, the pain just shoots up my gum, it hurts, and of course this week-end had been hot and very humid and a nice glass of ice tea would sound good, but, it hurts too much to drink anything cold. So tomorrow I'll find out what the problem is and hopefully he can pull it out and I don't have to see a specilist, if that is the case, maybe my dentist can give me something for the pain, wish me luck.

i hope it is wisdom teeth.... because they way you describe it reminds me of the pain i was going through before i had to have a root canal! my gums were so sore, i had a heachache from hell, and eating or drinking anything too hot or cold killed me!

Praying just a wisdom tooth that you dentist can handle in his office. I was hospitalized to have mine removed all 4 at one time..

You are not going to believe this. I saw my dentist today and of course the pain had eased up. He took x-rays which I thought I would vomit, I was gagging so much on the film, I have a small mouth. It turns out its not my wisdom tooth, thats just fine and nestled under my gum, its my sinus, the x-ray showed a large amount of fluid in my sinus cavity, so he started me on Amoxicillin 500 mg every six hours. Hopefully this will clear everything up. emo-crossfinger.gif

That is better than the wisdom tooth problem especially if they are impacted

At least you don't have to have it pulled.
