My new foster came yesterday. We are excited to have her here with us. Pinger is a 2 year old, shy girl, who really wants to come out of her shell.

She will wag her tail, will look directly at you when you talk to her, and loves to prance when you walk her.

She is a true lovebug. When we did introductions with our 5 hounds, she gave Holly the biggest kiss, and not one growl from anybody. Mine welcomed her into our home with open paws.

Pinger has a lot of dark fawn ticking on her body that you can't see in the picture, so we'll have to get more pictures.

Saw her picture that Hettie posted and she is just beautiful. Her ticking looks like someone took a little brush and make dots. She is in the best home to overcome her shyness. You did such a great job with Skyy so I am going to nickname you the "shy master".

That's good Linda! I like that. The Shy Master. And I do have my work cut out. She wants out of her shell so bad, but she having a time doing it, although I see her making strides every day. She is a sweetie.

She is beautiful and looks so sweet.

How is it going?

She's doing a lot better. She will come out of the crate on her own now, and go to the back door to go out, but doesn't always potty outside. She gets nervous, and wants to come back in. I keep her out there, but this will take a little time.

She still spends most of her time in the crate, with the door open.

The reason we brought her up here, is for a couple that are interested in her. They are coming out from MD (near DC) on Sunday morning to see her.

I've already had a very long talk about her, so they know what to expect, and that didn't scare them away, so this couple could be her new skin parents.

Please keep your fingers crossed!!!!!

They are very good people for taking on a special needs. I hope everything works out! She is just beautiful!

I thought so to Pat. They have a 6 year old greyhound to. It was funny when I was talking on the phone with her today, after everything I told her about Pinger, she said that wouldn't scare her away. I think these will be good people for her. They sound very special, and patient.

They also have a fenced in back yard which will help greatly.

She is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

Well, Pinger went home Monday evening!!!! She didn't go with the couple that had come out to look at her. We had other people interested, and Pinger couldn't wait. So she went with a wonderful couple who have 2 greyhounds and a big fenced in yard. Pinger did so well when she met them, Hettie and I could tell this was a match.

And boy, am I missing her. She was a quiet girl around here, but towards the end, she really got playful, and had a lot of antics up her sleve. She would make me laugh all day. She is a huge collector, and part of her game was, you were'nt allowed to see her steal the stuffies. She would take them back to her crate, and act like, "I don't know how they got here!"

Her new name is Hope. Here she is with a few stuffies.

That is wonderful news Jimmy. I am so glad Hope found her perfect family. Thanks foster people for all you do to make the transition of these pups much easier.
