Here is an update on Sally
Sorry we've been so long in contacting you.
We've been busy working with our girl and making progress.
It's taken multiple surgeries and a lot of TLC but we have Sally's titanium implant (designed and built in Switzerland) in her leg. The bone has grown into it very well over the last 8 weeks and the soft tissue interface where it exits the stump end looks very promising. We are getting our first artificial limbs built by a company in Denver, Sue, my wife and Sally are down there this evening for another fitting of the attachment mechanism. She is using the leg well at a walk and we are gaining muscle strength and bone density with specific rehabilitation therapy. There is scheduled to be an "official" roll out of her, first to the University patent committee who will determine if it will continue to support more work in the area, followed by a press conference for public media later this week. So stay tuned to your news source and know we really appreciate your support, and will try to do better on keeping you all informed of Sally's progress.

D2P - thanks for posting the update for me received it yesterday from Dr. Erick and did not have a chance to post for everyone to know about Sally. We were the only message board that took an interest in her
Glad to post it for you Beryl. I know a lot of members made a donation for her medical bills as well.
That is great news. I was thinking about her and how she was doing.

We must be on the same wave length as I was think about the on Monday and was thinking of checking up on her. Hope he send some pics and of course more udates

I know you can post but that last one I do not think it needed to be posted it anyone wants to see the surgery then they will have to ask it was not for the faint of heart.
As soon as Dr. Erick sends pics I will let you all know I have posted in another thread all of the pics he has sent me
