She eating anything at all?
Beryl
14th April 2008 - 07:26 PM
When Softee was not eating we did a buffet. A dab of this and a dab of that. We even tried cat food plus all kinds of canned food on her along with the chicken/beef/or turkey with rice mix. I will see if I can find that thread for you

We put a treat in her crate this morning and then again at lunch and she ate those but now is will not eat the turkey or rice. I'm going to put the GSD"S to bed early and bring her out and see if that helps.
Beryl
14th April 2008 - 07:45 PM
Have you tried people food? Softee loved scrambled eggs. We were given egg yolks and we added canned milk to them whipped them up and then baked then in the oven

Ginny did eat some of the turkey and rice out of my hand, and then she did drink some water. I have been on the floor with her crying and asking her to fight this.
But the fact that she ate a very little and drank some water does make me feel better, now if I can stop the tears.

Ginny has a UTI and uterine infection
Also there is a new message on the Dragon thread
mountain4greys

I would hope Ginny will be back to her old self very soon. UTI's take about a week, but I don't know about the infection, which is probably making her feel bad.

People are stupid here. People are doing their taxes online and when they complete it, a print out is generated for their records. We have a lot of people who just leave and don't pick up the paper. It has all their info on it, SS # etc.
I am not tearing it up, because if they are stupid enough to do their taxes on our un secured computers and leave their paper work for anyone to see, it's their dumb fault if someone gets their info and I am not going to get blamed for tearing it up in case they come back looking for it.

Me either, guess that's why Nature is staying here.
mountain4greys
16th April 2008 - 04:33 PM
It's very hard to foster. What really helps me through it is the fact I already have 5, and that's enough for now. Each dog I've fostered, I could have kept, but it's a lot easier to foster when you already have a bunch.
Beryl
16th April 2008 - 04:40 PM
I be if you had a bigger yard, house and a bigger income you would keep one or two
mom2greys

The group wants us to foster another but I told them not at this time. We still have a long way to go with Nature.
Beryl
16th April 2008 - 05:03 PM
We volunteered to foster a few years ago but they ignored us so we do not volunteer anymore
mountain4greys
16th April 2008 - 05:31 PM
I'll get a little break for a while, and if I'm needed to foster, I'll keep doing it. I love it.
mom2greys, yes, I'd wait to foster until Nature is totally settled in, that makes a big difference I think. All of mine have been here for a while, even our brood who will be here a year tomorrow. Once your own feel good and secure where they are, then fostering is easier to do.
Beryl
16th April 2008 - 05:39 PM

If he is like any other offspring of Flying Penske and grandson of Oshkosh Racey whom ever adopts his will have a fantastic fur kid.
Highway and Softee are from Oshkosh Racey
Eclipse and Penske are from Flying Penske
