Great News Hannah!!!!!
Beryl
30th May 2008 - 06:14 PM
I hope the next interview for Hannah goes as well as this one did
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 04:31 AM
So do I Beryl.
Redstripe
31st May 2008 - 05:27 AM
Working at the track today, i'm seriously not looking forward to a long ass day in the hot weather

for rain!
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 08:50 AM
We are under a tornado watch until 11 am - hope it is just hype
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 06:26 PM
We had beautiful weather today, I hope Jimmy did too.
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 07:04 PM
After the rain and tornado watch our weather was greyt and they hope it stays that way for the hockey fans that have to watch the game outside the arena tonight. They had some events before the game - 3 bands, a cookout, white t's and white towels for the fans plus some other stuff
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 08:12 PM
Time won't eat tonight, all's he wants to do is eat grass.
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 08:17 PM
Could be excitement over today's events just keep an eye on him.
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 08:21 PM
I am, he always loves the burgers after an event but he turned his nose up to it. We were just outside and he was palying with the kong.
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 08:30 PM
Sometimes they get excited when you take them to events just wait and see what happens don't panic
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 08:32 PM
I know but I can't help it. I hope that the fact he is playing means he's just stressed over today and that's why he won't eat. His belly is gurgling also.
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 08:35 PM
Did he eat at your event? Also when they are sick they don't play. Think about yourself if you are excited do you want to eat?
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 08:40 PM
He ate this morning, I hope it's nothing but I am a worry wart. He didn't eat at the event, and it was a little warm, he kept putting his front paws in the water dish. I hope he is better in the morning.
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 09:03 PM
Just his front paws in the water dish mine will try and lay in any water that is around
mom2greys
31st May 2008 - 09:09 PM
I got him to eat a slice of cheese and 3 hot dogs.
Beryl
31st May 2008 - 09:56 PM
greyt that he ate probably still hepped up over his shingdig today
mom2greys
1st June 2008 - 04:34 AM
Time ate some of his breakfast, which makes me feel better. Thank you Beryl for the shoulder and making me feel better.
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 07:39 AM
You are welcome I have learned that our hounds and all animals are just like us. If we are upset and don't want to eat the fur kids can act the same way or if they are hepped up the same thing can happen. Next time one of the kids don't eat think would I have been doing that in the same situation
mountain4greys
1st June 2008 - 08:15 AM
greyhound are children
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 08:46 AM
I know mine usually don't eat when we go to our annual picnic as they are all wound up
mountain4greys
1st June 2008 - 09:20 AM
Same with mine. They don't even want to drink water, unless it's just a sip. They wait till they get home.
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 09:59 AM
Mine will drink water but even when we get home they don't always eat
mountain4greys
1st June 2008 - 10:43 AM
It's a beautiful day, but it's already to hot in the sun for the hounds to be out. If it was cooler, I wanted to take them for a long walk today.
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 10:52 AM
It is beautiful here too and will keep an eye out if it gets too hot for them
mom2greys
1st June 2008 - 10:54 AM
It's not to bad here right now.
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 10:57 AM

Last night i woke up to a loud noise, i was half asleep so i couldn't really tell what the noise was... when i woke up i looked over and Al wasn't in the bed... it was odd because i knew he couldn't be up getting into something he NEVER gets up in the middle of the night... well about 5 seconds later i saw his head look at me over the bed.. HE FELL OFF THE BED!!
i know i should laugh be he had a pitiful look in his eyes...
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 11:50 AM
Did he give you a dirty look as if you pushed him out of bed that happened to Jams and she looked at me as if I was the one that pushed her out. Poor Al
Redstripe
1st June 2008 - 12:18 PM
he had a look on his face as if he was saying " WHAT THE HELL?!!!"
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 12:20 PM
I know what you mean I have seen that look more than once on my hounds
mom2greys
1st June 2008 - 03:19 PM
Sky had fallen of the bed twice and we have gotten that look.
Beryl
1st June 2008 - 03:51 PM

Hannah getting that third interview and Terri's car getting fixed
mountain4greys
4th June 2008 - 03:40 PM
Terri will be getting her car towed to the dealer tomorrow. Isn't the key cylinder. Has something to do with the keys and/or the computer.
Tried to get it towed today, but with a Tornado warning, Terri's work locked down the compound. Nobody in or out.
Beryl
4th June 2008 - 04:06 PM
Saw that warning on our local NBC station and also in parts of MD there is a tornado warning
mom2greys
4th June 2008 - 05:40 PM
Everyone stay safe in the path of the storms. Please check in when you can.
Beryl
4th June 2008 - 05:48 PM
We have only had Thunder Storm warnings with heavy wind and down pours
mountain4greys
4th June 2008 - 06:37 PM
We had tornado warning until 4:15 then the sun came back out. The wind and rain were really bad. Lots of downed trees. No power loss here. It washed out my next door neighbors driveway
Beryl
4th June 2008 - 06:56 PM
We have flood watch here but not for me I am too far up on the hill and if it gets this high "NOAH BRING OUT THE ARK"
mountain4greys
5th June 2008 - 10:16 AM
We're alright here. Sometimes the mountains can help. Hope everyone else is ok.

5th June 2008 - 11:09 AM
Eeewwww!!! i just went to do my daily morning cleaning routine, clean coffee pot, and clean morning animal feeding bowls and i had ANTS coming in my back door!!! there wasn't alot but ewww i got the creepy crawlies! i went to the front office and the exterminator will be out here next tuesday... i don't know what they were after, i don't have any ant attractions around.. maybe i spilled some sugar or something on the floor and didn't know??! but i just mopped 3 days ago...
EEwwwwwww
Beryl
5th June 2008 - 11:13 AM
Hannah how about a piece of dog or cat food. I have had them come in through the kitchen window and there is nothing sweet there. Go to Heloise hints and I do believe there is something telling you how to prevent
Redstripe
5th June 2008 - 11:27 AM
The cats eat up on the kitchen table which is about 10 ft from the backdoor, Al eats under the table on his lil' raised dish, and there isn't any stray food anywhere i sweep that area every morning...
i know peppermint oil keeps rats away, wonder if there is an oil for ants?!
ETA: the ladies at the office said that its just that time of year and since i live right next to the pool and people eat out there and leave crumbs out and about that the ants live it up around this area....
