I must be more tired than I thought.

Finally got Penske up the steps to the second floor he is now crashed out on one of the beds.

Penske is pooped out.

Got Penske back down with no problems have to keep working with him. Jimmy how is the broodie you were working with?

We adopted her back in mid-April, but we found she was a little stiff when she'd get up from her bed. She's an 8 year old brood mama. The first day I worked with her on the steps, I got her up about 2 of them, and brought her down. She started limping a little, so I didn't try anymore stair training.

We got her started on The Greyhound Gang's Glucosimine. That takes about 2 months to get through their system. Now, she's like a new dog, so I started working with her about 2 weeks ago. She has the hang of it, she just doesn't want to do the steps. When we get to Dewey, she'll be able to go up and down, but with hesitation, I'm sure. I just want her to know how to do them, but I won't make her do the steps in the house. She's fine on one floor.

What's Penske's story.

We tried with him today for the first time and it went greyt he only needed coaxed a little with help. As he is a Mamma's boy I went up first and Dave kind of put his feet on the steps. We let him rest up in the bedroom for a while and then I went down first and Dave held his collar and helped him down. Hopefull he will get the hand of it soon.

He should Beryl, I do stair training like you do, and it doesn't take them long at all. But my Rachel (brood), just doesn't like doing them. I'm going to work with her a little more this week. If she'll go up and down them on a leash, that's all I need for her to get through Dewey.

He is good on outside type stairs/steps it is the inside ones we have to work with. We had to teach both Belle and Koolaid stairs and only took us a few days for them to learn. Belle flys up them and can do the upstairs in three bounds. Penske has a different personality than those two so it might take a little bit more time with him.

That was great cake at the picnic. Yummy, we didn't get to take any home, did you Jimmy?

Al could use some help with the stairs, he's going to break a leg one day. He just doesn't understand that you don't have to take two at a time and you don't have to run!! When going down i have to hold him back with all my strength so we both don't go tumbling!

For not eating sweets, it was awesome treat.

yah know what i think is funny?! how some of us will say ok i have errands to run, or i need to go to bed, i need to do this and that, and we still post for another 30 mins!! just walk away people, just walk away... EG isn't going anywhere!!!!! (it takes great will power to get up from EG!!!)

It is hard to get up and walk away, so is the Arcade.

No Softee did not eat tonight but she ate late this afternoon around 2 pm. Will try her later

Had to work this am so I just got on myself. Dad said Softee ate about 3/4 cup of food total but is wobly on her feet. Mom had toast and coffee for breakfast and will be getting her lunch shortly

She ate dry puppy food for lunch between 1/4 and 1/2 cup. Still unsteady on her feet and I hope it will pass

Too tired to post last night but she ate a small buffet when Dad came home on a small styro plate about 3/4 cup of mix. We are going to make more liver brownies today

Yes as long as she eats - Jimmy saw something in our paper today about a person in NC buying a smoker and finding a limb inside. It was out of a storage place. Would make good weird news..
