Is Friday the 13th bad for your health, are there more car accidents on that day compared to any other day? For some Friday the 13th is unlucky for them. Studies have showed that an increase of car accidents are up by 52%. The sixth day of the week and the number 13 both have foreboding reputation said to date from ancient times sources say it may be the most wide spread superstition in the United States. Some people won't go to work or even go out to eat in a restaurants on Friday the 13th.

Many cities do not have a 13th Street or 13th Avenue. Many buildings don't have a 13th floor. If you have 13 letters in your name, you will have the devil's luck, ( Jack the Ripper, Charles Mason, Jeffrey Dahmer, Theodure Bundy and Albert De Salvo, all have 13 letters in their names.) There are 13 witches in a coven. But, the Chinese regard the number as lucky as did the Egyptians in the time of the Pharaohs.

Some say Friday's bad ruptation goes all the back to the Garden of Eden. It was a Friday the Eve tempted Adam with the forbidden fruit. The Great Flood began on a Friday, God's tongue-tied the builders of the Tower of Babel, The Temple of Solomon was destroyed and of course on Friday, Christ was crucified. So are you supersititous?

Not superstitous about Friday 13 either even if it falls on a Friday. I had one boss that would not do any transactions on the 13th. Friday or no Friday. As for the other black cat - alergy and walking under a ladder as with the other post Safety Issues. I would not want a bucket of paint to fall on me. I have 3 black greyhounds so I ain't a bit superstitous - hold on a sec I have to throw some salt over my left shoulder is it left or right?
