Yesterday I took Misty in for her yearly dental. She did great, no teeth were pulled and they look just beautiful, but, she lost several pounds since June, she is down to 54.8 pounds from 56 pounds. She eats like a horse, she eats two cups of her Senior Pro Plan with roasted chicken or turkey, after she eats she gets several cookies. At dinner she gets 2.5 to 3 cups of her kibble with turkey and chicken, one to two Frosty Paws ice cream and her mike bone cookies and a few Beneful Snacks which she loves. She even gets some of my dinner, plus once a week she gets a plain grill chicken sandwich from Wendys. So, she eats very well, she does love her walks and we walk 3-4 miles a day. She is a little girl, small framed, she acts as though everything is fine, but, I am worried. This Sunday we have an appointment at 10 in the morning with Dr. Bensen. I know she is 12 and I just want her to stay healthy. I don't know if I need to change her food from the senior to adult, cut her walks down, I don't know. I am just so nervous and worried about my sweet beautiful baby girl, I don't want her to have a medical problem. Any ideas what her problem may be? Has any one ever had this problem with their greyhounds? Oh, I almost forgot she is coming down with diarrhea once like every two weeks, she has a normal good solid movement and than after that its diarrhea which last about a day. She doesn't cry, she still eats well and drinks her water like nothing is wrong. So far she had been diarrhea free for two weeks so far. Thanks.
