That was great!
We run into the same problem at work, and our landlady gets a bit upset with us. I'm with the Red Cross, and half the time we're gathering up all our disaster stuff so we take too long to evacuate (as a result, if it were a real fire, we'd die of smoke inhalation), the other half we all try to run towards where the fire is supposed to have started. We drive our building mates nuts.

Same thing happens where I work. The hospital has fire drills and sometimes accidental alarms and most of us do not move away from our desks. We walk through the halls, use the elevators, etc. Luckily for me my office is right next to the electric doors to the outside. I have told one of our maintanence guys that if I see him leaving the building I will be right behind him. I do have a window and can see what is going on outside in the parking/drop off area.

we had a tornado drill at school last semester and we all went outside.. too bad we can't tell the difference between a the fire alarm and the tornado alarm

the alarms sound so alike we just figured it was another fire drill...
