I have two checks for Sally here at the house and I am going to wait for the checks from the necklaces to mall all together. I was told that they are sending thank you responses out. has anyone received any yet?

Hi,
My name's Steve, I was the one in Kuwait that fell in love with Sally and talked to CSU and got her back there in July. I would have adopted her myself if I wasn't so nomadic.
I found your site while searching the web for information about Sally. I wanted to thank you all for the fund raising you're doing for her, it means a lot to me and everyone else who was involved in getting her to the US, not to mention to the Eggers who have given her an incredible home and great dog playmates to live with. I saw a post on her that questioned the wisdom of using a prosthetic vs. amputation. That's a fair question, I just wanted to say that the process has been done on people in Europe for fingers and arms, so it is not too radical and offers her a higher quality of life. I love that dog so much, she has the greatest spirit and character, I wouldn't propose doing anything to her that I wouldn't consider for myself.
Anyhow, thanks so much.
Steve

Everyone here hopes what little bit we did for Sally helps. As you can see she does have a fan club and we would love to hear more about this beauty.

Sally Update just received
Hi Beryl
Sally is doing great! We finally got the the elbow and butt water
blisters (hygromas) under control.
She's really fitting in well to the gang, and plays tug of war with our
2year old lab cross. also learning how to jump up on kitchen chairs to
better investigate the table top. I've found my cell phone and wallet
in the middle of the floor several times but the only permanent damage
(I've found) has been chewing the leather off my truck steering wheel
while I ran in for starbucks. (needed a new truck anyway).
Bubbles our bulldog has her nose bent out of shape (or would if she had
one) being the other girl in the gang but loves Sally too, at least
based on the way they sleep together.
I'll forward your note on to Sue my wife as I think she has some more
current photos on her computer.
Thanks again for your interest and support.

It's so nice to hear how well Sally is doing. Sounds like she's in the perfect home for someone who's had a tough time of it for the beginning of her life. Now it's her turn to be treated like a princess. I think maybe a coat that says "princess" is in order here. She has so many people who were concerned for her welfare. We know she's in good hands and couldn't be happier. She certainly deserves to have the very best "rest of her life" and I know she's going to get that. Thanks for being such a greyt family. Lorraine

Yes that poor girl had a rough life and now she really has a greyt forever home and a special thanks to Steve who found her and talked CSU into taking her. A very special thank you is also in order for Dr. & Mrs. Eggers who has given her a home and of course her house mates who have to put up with some of her antic.
